Hi,

I can't believe I am just past the 5 year anniversary of my mastectomy!  I just wanted to pop my head round the door and say Hi! Laughing

It was this site and the wonderful women here that gave me the inspiration to carry on when I thought things were hopeless. I was very lucky to find this site the evening.....well early hours  lol.... after my diagnosis.   I'm 5 years on now, doing really well. Still taking Tamoxifen and getting these damn hot flashes about 10 times a day!  But its a small price to pay to have some peace of mind. I'm feeling really well and looking forward to being a Grandmothert, waiting impatiently for my grandsons birth.....he's a week late!  lol

Been having a look around and the site has changed so much since I was posting here. Its so good to see some of the ladies who helped me still giving their great advice.  Keep up the good work! Laughing

    Lorna

We must have been diagnosed around the same time. I am quickly approaching that 5 yr mark from diagnosis in mid November. Since that dark day 5 years ago, my sons have both graduated from high school, the older one will graduate from college in May, the younger is a freshman in college. So much happiness has followed that miserable time! Glad to hear you are well, Congrats on the upcoming birth of your grandson. Hope you check back and let us know just how fun it is to be a grandma!
