What were your signs/symptoms

I would like to find out what made you go see a Doctor. Some are obvious- red swollen breast, but what are some early symptoms you may have experienced?

    I noticed a bruise, heat in the breast, an area of thickness inside the breast all of which appeared suddenly.  I had seen my gyn 6 weeks earlier and none of these symptoms were present then.  There is lots of info in ibcsupport.org.

    I noticed a small, sore lump in my breast, along with bruising and enlargement of that breast. There was also a tender spot under my arm on this side. The lump grew quickly and became surrounded with thickened breast tissue, and the breast turned red and warm and tender to the touch. The entire breast grew two cup sizes during this time, about two weeks. My doc thought it was an infection, but when the antibiotic didn't work, identified it as IBC

    I noticed a big, hard lump which seemed to appear overnight.  I then had itchy rash all over my chest.  Rash went away, but nipples then started to itch.  The lump became more like a mass that covered entire right brest.  It became sore and painful.  My breast swelled and started turning red and warm. My doc also thought it was an infection and gave me antibiotics.  Antibiotics helped with symptoms somewhat, but not entirely.

      I believe it presents in different ways.

      Am I the only one where the anti-biotics made it ALL go away and the breast looked perfectly normal?
