Small Miracles

I thought it might be uplifting to establish a place where we can post the little "miracles" which happen around us every day and give us some hope. For instance, I have not watered the plants on my balcony for over 6 weeks due to travel, strange bugs, etc.  When they dried up I pulled them out of the soil.  I was about to throw the pots away and, lo and behold, new plants started to grow without any help from me.  I find that paying attention to these "wonders" each day makes me feel way more positive than thinking about what the statistics would suggest. I would love to hear your stories.  I read a book called "Kitchen Table Wisdom" or something like that and the author suggested keeping a list of what inspires you, what amazes you and what you've learned each day.

After months of volcanic smog and overcast/rainy  skies, the other night I went to let the dog out before going to bed. I looked up and the sky was so clear the sight of the stars was jaw-dropping. I could see the Milky Way. I turned off every light in the house and sat on our lanai and gazed at the sky. It was amazing.

    brown hues

    the coppers and reds

    Pumpkins so saucy and orange

I marvel each year & when I moved

to a warm climate years ago. missed the change

    of seasons

Today's little miracles - I went to the pharmacy to pick up two pills which I needed to complete my antibiotic treatment for an infection.   For $1.25, the pharmacist gave me the full Rx for 20, pills, a coupon for $5.00 to use anytime this month and about 15 little sample packets of OTC meds (Advil, Lozengers, vitamins, allergy pills, etc.)   I got a lot for $1.25.

My 3 year old grand daughter called to say she finally pooped in the potty!
