Did anyone see the Today show this morning?  Dr Susan Love long time pioneer for Breast Health has started something wonderful.

She is asking american women to join one million of us, to help with clincal studies to fight breast cancer from the other end... before diagnoses!

Please go to the site..armyofwomen.org and consider joining in the research tell family and friends!

I just joined!  You can have bc to join they need lots of women to study many different situations the end result is to stop breast cancer as has been done with other diseases in the past!

Hurray!

Think about it ladies it is great research being done!

Thanks

Daniella

Registered a few minutes ago and sent emails to friends asking them to do the same. Such a simple idea that will work, I'm sure. Shame it's taken so long...

OK. All signed up. There 'clicker' says that they now have 1764 signed up as of yesterday.

It's neat to be a part of the first wave.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Faithandfifty, the clicker said the same thing when I registered at 8am, so I think it may be a bit behind the actual count. The site even said the "Welcome!" email may be behind since they expected lots of registrations as a result of the Today Show.

Wouldn't it be neat if tomorrow it was 50,000?

I looked the other day and there were over 100 thousand signed up!

Have any of you discussed this with friends and had them, be like great idea but....

I am so disappointed in some of my friends they know the hell I have gone through, and my best friend who died at 44 from colon cancer.  Not BC but these people know BC does the same to many women.

I do not understand how they would not want to help!  For their futures and their daughters etc....

I am just one of those who signed up to help for cancer things before I got cancer, I guess because of my father in law and best friend dying.  But damn it if we don't rally around help and find the answers we will have more women and men getting this crap!

Wow needed to vent my disappointment!  Feel better now!

    Keep the sign ups going!

yes i believe you can join also!

Check the web site to make sure at their frequently asked questions section.

so sorry you joined this club!

Maybe you can share some of your countries wonderful traditions with us.  Might as well learn something new!  BC brought us together but it does not all have to be "cancer crap"!

    Check it out at armyofwomen.org!

Thanks for joining, maybe we will find the answer before your children, I assume pictured with you have to deal with this.

Danix5, I can't believe your friends didn't sign up.  Maybe you should tell them that 1 in 3 women will get some sort of cancer in their lifetime and 1 in 2 men will.  Everyone thinks, not me, not me, how would they feel if it was their baby.  We have got to stop  this beast.  How can we teach them to really GET IT>  Maryiz

Hey the number signed up is 177,540, I just signed up myself and will pass the news on.

today is the 8th and faithandfifty said there were 1,764 on the 1st, so that means 175,776 have signed up in 7 days. I am thankful for research to discover the cause, and not just treatment.

    thanks all,

    Amber

I believe it is US only to begin with (according to their FAQ).  They hope to expand to researchers outside the US soon!

Today they are up to 205,558!  (that's a little over 20% to the initial goal of 1 million women!)

I keep asking people to join...but I haven't heard that anyone has (at least so far), but apparently some of you have been more successful!Laughing
