I would call and have it checked.  I know that I was told if it moved in or out to call and have it checked.  Do you flush yours out everyday?  Does it still flush ok?  At any rate call your doctor and tell him what it is doing.  You don't need any added problems!

Thanks.  I don't flush it myself, the homecare nurse flushes it weekly, and it was fine on Friday.  I'm sure if it was a concern she would have told me to get it checked, but I will call first thing in the morning to the radiology dept where it was put in. Of course these things always happen on the weekend!

Sorry about all the gobbledygook html in my post, I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it.

When did you have your PICC line put in?  Mine starting hurting a bit a few days after it was put it.  Is your stitched in?  My son had a broviac and it moved a little in/out, but the doctor felt it was ok.  Just not a lot.

I called radiology, they told me to call my onc's nurse, she said to come in to the chemo unit and they will check it.  So, that's good!

    Hi Deirdre:

I think they insert a few cms of extra tubing just in case... Mine developed a leak right before my 4th treatment so I went back to the clinic and they just pulled it out about 1 cm, cut off the leaking part and attached the end part (can't remember what it's called).  So, I'm sure you'll be fine.

    Thank goodness for PICC lines!

    Cheers,

    Linda

Yes, the nurse flushed it and said it was fine, they just are concerned if it comes out too much.  She said it was ok to be paranoid though!
