breast symptoms come and go---??

I have written in another thread about my breast symptoms that include a bloody discharge from, a small rash, and stabbing pain in one breast.  Nearly all of the symptoms have stopped at this point except for the stabbing pain which does feel better.  Does the fact that they (symptoms) have gone away mean that it is just a wierd breast thing?  Do the symptoms of IBC come and go like that?

Am still awaiting test results, and my doctor hasn't even seen me though he has been informed of these things several times.  It's a bit frustrating!

Many thanks to all of you!   Lois

    Hi Lois:

Sorry you're having so many problems getting your radiology reports together.

Again, please remember no two people are alike. My symptoms were different than yours, but yes, mine came and went and disappeared completely for 2 months with anti-biotics. To make a long story short, that prolonged my treatment...which could have been avoided; I was ever so naive, I had never even heard of IBC!  Just keep doing what you are until you are completely satisfied with the results they give you.

    Please, keep us up-dated.

well wishes that things go great for you!!

My symptoms didn't come and go, but got progressively worse and worse, and the area affected got larger and larger.  I also had a lot of stabbing pain, and my breast was so sore to the touch.  Please keep us posted, and we will pray that you don't have cancer.  But do keep after the doctors until they give you a satisfactory answer to your symptoms.

My symptoms lessoned a bit with antibiotics, but flared as soon as they stopped. I feel so blessed for the doctors at Kimmel Cancer Center at John 's Hopkins who looked at it and knew what it as and got me into chemo within a week. My redness, itching and stabbing pain started to get better within two weeks after treatment started. My area of hard tumor mass has also gone down from 7 cm to about 4 cm. The SE's of the chemo have been rough on me, but I am so thankful that I  have doctors who checked it out and diagnosed it.

My advice is to be persistent and get it checked out by someone who knows what they are seeing.

    Bette
