Finally, my favorite show is back. I wasn't on the edge of my seat during the premiere, but it was good. I like the new and improved Meridith. I loved the scene with the old Christina and Meridith. The make up was great! Not sure how I feel about the new doc who kissed Christina. I'm generally not into the army type, but I want  Christina to be happy. PsychoRose did nothing for me, I wonder if she's really gone or will be back stirring up trouble. McSteamy may be turning the corner and becoming an (almost) nice guy and certainly more sensitive. I think Lexie and George make a cute couple. Of course I loved the  Erica/Callie part at the end-- those two strong women feeling unsure in what was a new type romance for each of them. I just assumed Erica was either comfortably gay or bi before she kissed Callie. I liked the 3 women and 3 men accidents story was ok, but I loved seeing Bernadette Peters in a dramatic role.

Love the new 'McSoldier' character.  I think he's signing on as a regular.  I like the izzy-korev drama.  I think they will use it a lot this season.  George isn't into Lexie like that, and I don't see it going anywhere.

As far as the ending with Callie and Erica-- I wanted Erica to be experienced and comfortable being gay, and have Callie as the- oh wow this is all new to me- character.  I was put off that this is supposed to be new, unchartered territory for both characters.

I was kind of shocked at the scene where the chief yelled at Meredith.

Next weeks episode looks great- with the ceiling caving in...

    LOL McSoldier.

With the way the hospital has been run, drs sleeping with patients, drs sleeping with drs,  drs deciding to do surgey that isn't approved, no wonder the hospital's rank went from 1 to 12 LOL.

George doesn't seem to be into Lexy, but george is a bit clueless in the love department. He slept with Meridith when he knew she didn't love him, married Callie on the while mourning his father without thinking twice, and slept with Izzy when he was drunk. Who knows what'll happen.

I figured the gay storyline would be with Erica being experienced, but I also like the twist on it being new for both of them. I've known a lot of people who didn't realize they were gay until they were in their 30s or 40s so it is plausible. I came in my 30s, but I surely wouldn't have made the first move my first time, let alone with someone who was dating men!

My best friend from nursery school came out one year ago at 30.  His life has been incredible ever since, and our friendship has grown so much stronger.

We'll see how it plays out with the two of them.  My fiance thinks callie will end up ruining it by sleeping with a man down the road.

And I hate that all the young interns are so dumb, especially christina's team.

I liked it too, but missed the first 30 minutes.  But I will say, I feel very much like Christina, "Meredith, shut up already!"  I can't listen to her obsessing anymore.  Ali McBeal got like that for me also.  And George Costanza.  I have a certain threshold, and can't take it anymore, Yell.  Hope I didn't offend, JMHO.

On a different note, I just read a preview in my local paper about Greys & Desp. Housewives, both shows having been "revamped" due to low ratings.  I think Desp. Housewives is this weekend.  Interesting change, the season takes place 5 yrs. from now!  I lost interest @ 2 maybe 3 seasons ago, too soap opera-ish for me.  Now I'm curious, Gabby has two daughters, Lynette's twin boys are teens and a nightmare, oh, and Bree has her own "Martha Stewart-like" business.  I think I'll check it out.

Oh whewww...another thread I like!  OK...McSoldier (cute Felicia) is HOT HOT.  If Meredith and McDreamy break up YET AGAIN this year..I'm done with this show.  Well..prolly not, lol.  I like the Izzy/Korev deal..I hope that gets explored further.

Ratings were down on every show, from Ugly Betty to the Office etc.  On perez hiltons blog he asked what was going on that he missed.  Um, hello. does the economic crisis, large banks going under and lots of political shows not ring a bell?

I know that I've been logging a lot more time on CNN, CNBC, and watching the market more then I'm watching "must see tv" or reality shows.

Still- No one can keep me away from grey's.  Also, do ratings take into consideration all the people that DVR/TIVO the shows?

I love Grey's Anatomy but while watching it this morning (TIVOd due to watching Survivor with hubby) I realized that the glow is off.  I still like it and will watch it but maybe the Meridith/McDreamy thing is getting old for me.  I wasn't expecting it to be a first time thing for Erica.  I do think Callie will ruin that line by hooking up with a guy.  McSoldier, that's cute.  Not sure how I felt about that line either.  I did like the story line with the 3 women and their husbands.

Desperate Housewives, the season finale did show the story lines being five years out.  I'm sure I'll see it.

The storyline with Mariette Hartley was terrifying. Some of us are feeling the memory shortage, but every 30 seconds????

The casting was ironic: Fired hubby turns to aging Kathy Baker instead of adorable wife Bernadette.........

I love "McSoldier"; let's see if it catches on! This show contnues to entertain, and I hope they build that "house of candles", a process known to destroy marriages!
