you know you're getting older when...
The aging process seems to have been fast forwarded with being chemo-paused and all the other treatments we go thru and although I attribute 95% of my present condition to bc treatments, there have been a few clues that maybe I'm also just getting older. here are a few:
You know you're getting older when:
you go out for breakfast and the server refers you to the "senior special" page of the menu..ouch!
many of your doctors look younger that your own children(been there)
now, this one I really don't like....when some twenty-something refers to you and your husband as such a "cute couple"...argh! "cute" should be reserved for babies, puppies and purses.
At least I can still laugh at myself, I guess that's a good thing

I know when I am getting old when I see more gray than dark hair left on my head; when my baby (now 13) is looking like a hot tomale and I like a sun dried tomato... (LOL)

...When I dont recognize the names of the stars on the entertainment shows.
...When the young doctors I used to know are now retiring from their practice.

When you get your bill and the server has automatically given you the senior discount! Appreciated the discount but not there yet.

When a sixteen-year-old burger flipper at the fast food joint tries to give you balloons for "your grandkids". Ouch.

When you are shopping in the department store and catch an old woman out of the corner of your eye. You wonder why she is looking at you when you look at her and realize it is a column wth a mirror on it!!!!!!!

When you start to think like Maurice Chevalier in "Gigi."
"Oh, I'm so glaaaaaad, that I-I'm, not YOUNG..... a-ny-more."
And are happy about it.
