TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

slonedeb... I just signed on to see if there was any word from you and you have just posted. I am so glad to hear from you.
And Janice, have you heard from your other sister yet? I have been enjoying getting your jokes again.
I am so glad that we all have each other here to reach out for and to. I would like to offer another prayer for all of my sisters.
Our Father, God,
Thank you so much for this day. Thank you for the beauty of the song of the birds and for the miracles you make happen each and every day. Help us to be more grateful when we see them. Your works are so mighty and pure, Lord. Thank you for loving us so much.
Lord, thank you for this website and for the friendships that have been formed here; for the special bonds of sisterhood we have because of this horrid disease. As always, we pray for a cure. Not just for breast cancer, but for all types of cancers. We pray Father today especially for those suffering because of this disease. Especially today Lord I ask that you be with our two Debs. DebC and slonedeb have had and continue to have some potent treatments. You know what they do to their bodies. You know how tired and how bad they feel. Please be with them. Let them know that you are with them. Wrap your loving arms around them and grant them peace and comfort. Keep them free from pain and Lord, I ask that it be your will for them to have some really good days. It is so hard to fight this battle, but we know that you are with us. Your Word tells us that you are with us wherever we go, and that you will never leave us. Help us to trust you more. Father I pray that they can feel the love and encouragement from all of us here and know that they are loved and cared about. Grant them strength, courage and wisdom. Grant us also the same.
God I also ask for help for all those in the paths of the recent storms. Hurricanes Gustav and Ike were vicious in many areas. Be with those who had damage and losses and help them to rebuild and / or renew. Help them to mount up with wings like eagles, to run and not be weary. Help them to be in touch with their loved ones. I especially ask today that you allow Janice to hear from her sister.
You are so good to us in so many ways, God. We do not deserve any of the gifts you have so freely given, especially the gift of your son, Jesus. But we thank you Father. Thank you for his life, his death and resurrection that we too may have everlasting life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
Love and hugs to all... Pam

Joe and Connie made a deal that whomever died first would
come back and inform the other of the afterlife, as their biggest fear
was that there was no afterlife..
After a long life together, the husband was the first to die.
True to his word, he made verbal contact, 'Connie....Connie. ':
'Is that you, Joe?'
'Yes, I've come back just like we agreed.'
'I'm so overjoyed Joe, what is afterlife like?"
'Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast
and then it's off to the golf course.
I have sex again, bathe in the warm sun and then have sex a
couple of more times.
Then I have lunch (you'd be proud - lots of greens)
another romp around the golf course,
then pretty much have sex the rest of the afternoon. Af ter
supper, it's back to golf course again.
Then it's more sex until late at night. I catch some
much needed sleep and then the next day it starts all over again.'
'Oh, Joe I'm jealous but am so happy...... you surely must be in Heaven!'
'Well not exactly Connie..., I'm a rabbit on a golf course in Arizona.' -
Here is the latest update from Deb's Blog:
September 19
Arggggggggg OK, I just typed all the cuss words I know and then erased them. I'm not sure if it helped anything but I am a little calmer now. I had my MRI today and in a nut-shell my neurosurgeon messed up. The ommaya reservoir was inserted THROUGH the ventricle of my brain. Dr Kelly *the good Doc* said that the end of the tube from the reservoir is irriting the cranial nerves so that I can't see ,,,,which means that I was right to feel like the neurosurgeon and his partner were blowing smoke from the very beginning.... Which ALSO means if they would have done a scan 2 days after my surgery instead of insisting that there couldn't be anything wrong with their port I would not have spent the past 2 weeks puking, not being able to see and suffering from bad headaches......Grrrrrrrr OK, so now Dr Kelley is talking to all the docs to see what is next. I can't get metholtrexate through the Ommaya since it is not putting the drug in the right place. I can't bet my Avastin because it causes bleeding and I will need more surgery, and once we get his damn port out, I will still have to get a new one!!!! I am so mad about all this I am spitting nails. Please pass the word....I just don't have the energy to type more......_______ We are all praying for you dear Deb. I want to report that negligent doctor to your state medical board. Someone needs to make him pay for causing you so much pain.

Dear sweet Deb,
We haven't left you hon, it's just been hectic. And even if we are not seeming to be here, all of us continue to hold each other, especially you, in our hearts and we always will pray for you. You are so kind to me deb, but my prayers are no more powerful than anyone's. However, I am honored to pray for you.
Our Father in heaven, Deb is having a really bad day today, and you know this. Already you are working for her good. She has been so sick and we have been so frightened and concerned for her, but we know that you are the one in charge. God, we don't understand why we have to suffer in this life. We know your Son, Jesus did however and we try not to complain. But Lord, Deb is so sick. Please, Lord, if it is your will, allow it to be that there is no cancer in Deb's throat. Please help stop the nosebleeds and other discomforts that she has been having. You are the Great Physician God. You alone can alter the course of our lives. I ask that you have mercy on our sister; that you grant her rest and peace and the knowledge that you love her and are with her. Help her not to be afraid, but to trust in you. Bless all our sisters here Father. Help us to gather around those especially in need.
I ask,Lord, that you also especially be with Deb C. She too is struggling with issues because of this horrible disease. We are so angry with her that her doctors made a terrible mistake that she is having to deal with. Take away her pain, Lord. Grant her your peace. Grant her vision. Grant her courage. She is such a fighter who inspires us all so much. Let her know how much we love her and how close we keep her in prayer and heart. Give her hope, Lord. Be with her family and help them to be there when she needs them and help us to be there as well. Almighty God, please, on her behalf we pray to you for help, for calm in this storm.
God we ask also for a cure for this life crippling disease. We walk, we give, we do what we can to raise money for research and we know that counts. But God you already have the answer. Please give it to us. Stop this senseless ending of life. It causes so much pain and suffering. So much hurt. When you do, we will give you all the glory. Amen
-
slonedeb - listen to Pammy - even if we aren't here often you are ALWAYS in our prayers. I hope with each passing day things get better for you.
Don't give up.
Hugs,
Valerie
