Any ideas for swollen breast 3wks post surgery?

you have been thru so much, I read some of your other entries and see that this is your 2nd bout of BC. swelling is common though after surgery, I still have swelling, and just finished radiation in June...when I sleep the night thru and wake up the swelling and tightness isn't so bad, and as the day goes on the tightness and toughness gets worse., I have been doing a detox bath with 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup epsom salt and that seems to help some. but you are only 3 weeks past surgery....one thing i did learn after my first surgery is that motrin can cause bleeding inside the incision....and I developed fluid build up the first surgery, but when the nurse told me to stay away from motrin the second surg due to it maybe causing the bleeding, I wondered if it had caused the fluid build up...so the second surg: no motrin and no fluid build up...though I still did swell, but mostly I think after the radiation.

Even though your surgeon is OK with the swelling, you could call and speak to his nurse, usually they are very accomodating and will see you rather quickly...and usually when I went in for a quick check after surgery there was no charge....make a list of concerns and the herbal stuff you have been trying.
