Cin56, What Supplements and other ??

Hi all--

Reading other threads, I see Cin56, FlaGal and others mention supplements. I am trying to investigate this now. What exactly do you take? Are any of these all-in-one powder things good for you? My mom is ready to drop a pretty penny on one called "Reliv" for me.

Also, to play devil's advocate, you mentioned a study saying no triple negative that was NED at  8 years out, had ever died of bc. Am I all wet, or was the triple negative status just 'discovered' within the past 10 years? It's not like we have a mass of triple negs from the 1970s on forward, being tracked, is it? Or am I missing something?

Thanks, Donna

    sibu,

Are you looking for possible cancer fight supplements or help with side effects or re-building your body.  I'm sorry I don't know you status.  Are you in treatment?  I'm one of the few who do use vitamins and supplements while in treatment.

    Here are just a few:

COQ10 - help protect the heart from chemo

Fish Oil-  heart and anti-inflammatory for the body

Melatonin- help you sleep and as anti-cancer properties

Bcomplex - nerve health and energy

Iodoral - idone therapy (low idone is connected to bc)

VIT D3 - drops another thing that is being connected to bc)

    Selenium

    Milk Thistle- cleanse the liver

curcumin - research this...they are trying to make it into a chemo

That is just a few if you are interested in more visit the Alternative section on this website.  There are some good threads. Also there is a thread about good books to read and websites to visit.  Let me know if I can be of any help.

Thanks--that gives me a place to start!

I am a year out of treatment but had a couple areas light up on a PET/CT scan recently. I'm looking to make some major changes to try to fend off recurrence.
