NOVEMBER 1st, ALL SAINTS DAY PRAYER FOR BC
Hi to all my lovely sisters and brothers, there has been some discussion on a few other threads about designating All Saints Day as a day for prayer for a cure for BC. We can all resoundingly pray that day no matter what time zone you are in or where you happen to be. We believe this would be quite powerful, especially since we seem to be on the verge of new therapies and cures. We are trying to get everyone to unify and set aside a time for a prayer. We believe this would be truly powerful. Anyone else in? How about a time? Stay well, Maryiz

My sweetie, Slonedeb, you are always there. Trying to spread the word all around. You will be here for many more Kentucky Derbys. Love, Maryiz

Here is the prayer I brought over from the other thread if anyone wants to use it.
Pray for "Eve"
Please join the women of breastcancer.org in declaring November 1st, All Saint's Day, also the International Day of Prayer for Breast Cancer. Breast Cancer awareness month will come and go, but the fight goes on for women all over the globe. Take some time this day to pray for all the women battling this horrible disease. Pray for our sisters, mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts and dear friends who continue to fight on. Pray for those who no one even thinks about with this awful disease, the men who become victims too. Pray for all the lives that are touched and forever changed by having, or knowing someone who has breast cancer. Pray for a cure, and pray that it will come soon. Pray that we will soon understand why there is so much cancer in this world, and that we will figure out how to stop it. Pray with us, throughout this day, that all our our prayers will be answered!
As far as the time goes, maybe we could suggest that everyone try to say a prayer at 12:00 Central Time, and also throughtout the day. That way will be sending one powerful prayer at the same time and continuous prayers all day.

Hi everyone, just a thought, if you are close to church members, maybe you could email this prayer to your pastor or others in your church, prayer chain, etc. I know my church has a prayer chain. Also, don't forget to email your friends. We need as many people as possible to pray. Love to you all, Maryiz

I am bumping this thread up.
Please keep this thread circulating by making a comment whenever you read it to keep it circulating. Let others know about it on your favorite threads and remember to send out emails to your friends aand families. We need prayers. Imagine the power of everyone praying on the same day. Maybe this will be the year we find the answers we all want. Maybe this will be the year that the suffering will stop!

This is wonderful. Count me in. Last I counted, I have 8 different prayer circles for myself and everyone dealing with bc (my support network is nothing short of amazing!). They are of all different demoninations (from Christian to Jewish to Native American). I'll email this prayer off to them and ask that they ask their different congregations to participate. Thanks so much for this.

Wonderful idea! Noon and throughout the day sounds good to me.
-
Thanks, everyone, for your positive thoughts. I understand that some people may not believe in prayer, and I respect your decision. From my strong Roman Catholic background, I believe we can rally on Nov. 1, All Saints Day, and send a powerful message requesting a cure for all of our BC sisters and brothers. Thanks everyone, Love to you all, Maryiz
-
I just read an article about Robin Roberts. She said that her faith was one of the things that saw her through her recent diagnosis of BC. Maybe we could get her involved? What do you think?
-
GrammyNancy, we can try sending an email to GMA. I will try to remember tomorrow. Thanks, sweetie, Maryiz
-
Count me in!
-
Count me in too! I will pass this along to others, and hope you remembered to email GMA--wouldn't that be great if they would mention it. Thanks, maryiz for thinking of having such a powerful prayer day!
-
Count me in as well!
-
I sent an email to GMA, letting them know of our prayer day for a cure for BC. I sent a short message and asked them to get the word out. I know they may steer away from being a religious platform, but it is worth a try. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Love to you all, Maryiz
-
I decided I a going to ask one of the nuns at a church near me, whom I am friendly with to have a special prayer mass on Nov. 1st, and invite all the women I know. I will let you know how it goes.
-
LindaMemm, that sounds sooo wonderful There are so many of us, I hope there are enough seats in the church. Maryiz
