    Its Sunday!

Bears vs Tampa Bay!  And after their pitiful loss last week they better do good today.

It was I who brough Baseball into this football thread lol.  Once a CUBS fan always one.

Traci:  I do believe that this might just be the year for the Cowboys.  I dont really like the Eagles, but I am partial to McNabb.  He is from Mt. Carmel - here in Chicago, a hangout when I was a teenager.

    Good luck one and all.

Still sad over Temple's butt whoppin' by Penn State yesterday. Just terrible...

Hopefully the Giants AND Jets will help lift my pigskin spirits with wins. That would make me very happy indeed...

Felicia, I always liked you but we are playing each other today.  I don't want to jinx things but the Bengals are playing like a real football team today.  Let's hope they can keep it up the second half!  WHODEY!

SoCal:  The Chargers looked pretty darn good.  The referees couldnt steal this one from them.

How have I missed this thread? Probably because I have hardly been on! I'm going to have to take it on myself here to represent the EAGLES....BTW Traci, that was me on the bitch thread congratulating you on the Dallas win...it was a great game! Since we don't have anyone rooting for the Redskins I'll cheer them on too when they are not playing the Eagles! DC transplants have to root for Redskins if they want to survive around here...

Trivia question: Did they put a jail in the New Eagles stadium also? No one seems to  know the answer to this???

Felicia, where did Chad end up? I was bummed when they let him go (love him) but never heard any more about it...

Chad is in Miami.  And you are right Felicia he is laughing his arse off.  Miami beat New England Sunday and they were in the Super Bowl last year.  I guess the Jets will be in the rebuilding stage again next year.

OK!  I must admit - being a Bears fan, have never liked Farve!  Ya know Green Bay has always been a big rivalry.  We were so happy to see Farve go elsewhere.  The Jets have my favorite running back - that would be Thomas Jones who Da Bears foolishly let go for ummmmm whats his name now.  Benson?  Oh yeah that right, the guy who didnt work out.

And yes, Pennington sure looked good in that Miami game.

DaBears are 1-2!  Such a disappointment so early in the season, but there are lots of games left.  We can dream cant we?

Why didn't Farve stay in retirement???  I thought he was too old to keep playing on green bay, I was shocked when I heard he signed back into the NFL, guess he didn't have enough money yet.....

They even gave him a big retirement party last year at Green Bay.  I heard on the news he might be injured?  Makes sense cause thats what he usually does when he gets himself into a mess.  Sorry - Bears fan here just bashing Farve!

I like the Jets and they should have kept Pennington!  JMHO

Here are my teams for this year, and again:

Giants, b/c I lived in NJ and they played at the Meadowlands.

Patriots: b/c I live in this area now... they gave us some really good games and set up the bar pretty high.... I did not like the Buuuuiiiing that went on the very last game they played, done by their own fans... why kick a horse while it's down?!?!  Not nice.

Dolphins: took them under my wing last year b/c they were the worse team (1-15), but this year hubby says things are quite different.  We shall see...

Seahawks: b/c we saw them at the Pine Market in Seattle.

    PS: Can't stand baseball either!!!!!!!!!!!

It's looking a lot like Farve should have stayed retired, LuAnn - especially after the way he played Monday night. Maybe he came to NJ because it's a tad bit warmer than Wisconsin...

If I were a Jets owner, I'd keep about five players and two coaches (defensive line and special teams), fire every freaking body else and REALLY rebuild next year, like they keep telling us they're doing...

I am not a Dolphins fan at all (they are in the same conference as the Jets - same logic for Buffalo and the Pats), but I hope Pennington has the season of his life! Knowing the Jets luck, he will, too...

Ha Im not a Dolphins fan either, but I too hope Pennington does great.  The guy that replaced Farve at Green Bay has been doing a good job which is making me smile - well except when DaBears have to play them.
