Hi, I went to a conference this weekend called, "Cancer as a Turning Point"-from surviving to thriving. It focused on treating the patient as a whole person-body, mind & soul. An oncologist named Jeremy Geffen spoke about losing his father to cancer and talked about his book, "The seven levels of healing:celebrating life and spirit on the journey through cancer." The book sold out at the conference. I thought as he spoke, the book sounded true to me and I'm working on healing from 2 seperate cancers. They also focused on "Eating for health and recovery." And Healing yoga for cancer. They also had oncology massages and an art project. I thought if the conference came to your town it would be worth going. It was FREE. Take care.

    Thank you Pabbie, for taking the time to give us this information.  I think this is a very valid point.  I like very much the idea that we can do something to keep this monster at bay, and that we are not all quivering victims waiting for the next strike to come.
