Are You Ready For Some Football:
Football season. One of my favorite times of the year.
Our first game was a nail biter. Cant believe we beat the Colts!

The Giants AND the Jets won their first games (although the Jets were determined to nealy give fans heart attacks as they almost blew their lead late in the 4th)! Happy, happy! Joy, Joy!
And, to REALLy make my weekend, my alma mater, Temple U beat Army (h2b's alma mater) - Whoo-Hoo! It's great to be a TEMPLE OWL!
-
Definitely a Jets fan. As usual, the Jets go to the very last minute to win the game. Hopefully, they beat New England sunday. i hope to be at the game.
-
Joyce: Wow! too bad Brady is injured. It would have been the battle of the quarterbacks. Im partial to Thomas Jones - the Bears were so stupid to trade him. Your gain, our loss.
Its the Bears against the Panthers. Another tough game.

In Texas, it's all about football! My fav is HS football and next comes college. Of course, going to the games over watching on TV makes it much more fun. Anybody else have a football kit (kind of like an emergency kit but way more fun) so you can grab and go for games?
-
We do! It's got the bleacher cushins, two blankets, binoculars and a couple of knit hats in case the weather dips!
-
Well I am Bengals fan and a few years ago they looked like a pretty good up and coming team, marvin lewis was working miracles with these guys. then he had to hire the drunks and drug addicts to give us a rotten name..... This year with injuries to all our bigger names who knows what will happen, they did not impress me last sunday but I am a true fan and will watch and cheer through thick and thin! WHODEY!!!!
Besides, now I can afford to go to a game, tickets are selling cheap right now LOL
-
Heeeeeyyyyyy NICKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's that time again..........
-
I am SO ready! I was out of the country last Sunday but I'll be home for the next two Sundays and I'll be watching as much football as I can on those days! GO BEARS!
-
Broncos fan here! My Dad and I had a tradition for 10+ years of watching the game together at my house. We would make homemade salsa for his garden's vegetables. He died 4 years ago and I still miss him and make salsa in his honor. I still sit in my same spot and often look to the recliner he sat in and sometimes took a short snooze. I miss him much and always still look forward to Sunday football and remember him. Go Broncos!

Hi girls! If I was at work and not on my laptop....I'd have pictures!!!!!
Today, I took off my nail polish, cut my nails and filed them down so I wouldn't bite them off for Monday night's game!!!!!!
GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh man, I hope it's a good game...slight rivalry....:) There was a HUGE article in today's paper about the love lost....or lack there of .....between McNabb and T.O.......
I am so happy for the football distraction. I LOVE football! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs, Traci

J-E-T-S Favre Favre Favre!!!!!!!

I just love Sundays during football season. Hoping that everyones team wins.
DaBears playing the Panthers - this will certainly be a nail biter for me.
Let the games begin
Nicki
-
Beth, the Jets v. the Pats will be a good game! Hoping they don't near about give me a heart attack like they did last week - but it wouldn't be the Jets if they didn't, lol...
-
Boy I just checked to see what games are on TV here in the Chicago area.
...Da Bears vs The Panthers.
...The Colts vs The Vikings
...The Jets vs The Patriots
What a great football Sunday. I feel like making a big ol pot of chili and homemade bread.
Good Luck to each of your teams!
Nicki
-
ok nicki...we are set for this afternoon, here on the West Coast
the Chargers are on..
I am just hoping the A team shows up to play today
-
Colts and Vikings was a good game!
Beth, I'm watching your Jets now and Lisa, yours should be a good game too. I wish Marian Barber would leap over the mound of players like that Bronco just did!!
Nikki, I haven't seen the Bears score. I keep missing it.
Felicia....who is your team? Skins? Giants? I can't remember! (Love your new signature line!!)
-
Yep - Colts vs Vikings was exciting towards then end. Couldnt believe The Colts won.
Giants creamed the Rams
Bears? Well Im crying in my beer. We lost a game we should have won!
SoCal: Good Luck and hoping its not a nail biter.
Traci: OMG, you dont Cowboys dont play until tomorrow.

Just got back from the Jets game a little while ago.......disappointing. I would have thought without Brady, we finally could could have beaten the Pats at home. I hope this isn't going to be another long season. it seems like we are always in the rebuidling stage.....the ups and downs of being a Jets fan.
-
Love football. Sat & sun are my days. Sometimes I wish a had more tv's in the room. But my finger stays on the recall button. The season really isn't long enought. Need something to keep my mind off things I can't do .best of luck to all us fans.
-
Well, the B team showed up
We lost by one point again!!
-
SoCal: Of all the games I watched, The Chargers was by far the most exciting. And I think the win was stolen from them.
Nicki
-
Jets were torturous yesterday. Combination of the heat, humidity, traffic and, well, LOSS, made for a first game let down. sniff sniff
-
Traci,
I'm a NYer through and through: Jets and Giants are THE teams in this neck of the woods.Gang Green didn't fare too well (it was almost painful to watch them not be able to get into the end-zone), but how 'bout the boys in blue?!? Is Eli Manning making up for those iffy first three years here or what?!?
How was the Eagles v 'Boys (I think that's who they played) game yesterday?!?
So many good games - including the Bears/Panthers, Colts/Vikings - lovin' it...
-
Big NY Giants/Jax Jags fan, and HUGE Gator fan here! This, too, is my favorite time of year. Felicia, I watched most of both NY games last weekend...I'll bet the Jets are thinking, "We paid how much for Broadway Brett and he gets bested by a rookie quarterback?!" Eli is the man--coming into his own and out of Peyton's shadow.
Looking ahead to Florida/Tennessee next weekend. I'm a true fan...with the time difference here in Japan, sometimes I have to get up at 4 a.m. on Sunday to see the Gators live. This past Monday I got up at 4 a.m. to see some of the Sunday NFL games. I'm nuts, I know...
I'll bet nobody else gets to watch Mon. Night Football live during their lunch hour on Tuesday. :-)

Another good football game last night. Although Im partial to the Eagles because McNabb is from Chicago, I was glad to see the Cowboys win! Just loving this football season.
Nicki
-
You mean I missed the 'Boys/Eagles matchup?!? Dang it!!
Lynn, Monday night football at lunchtime on Tuesday is so cool! But getting up at 4am is the epitome of "true fan" to me, lol. Go 'Gators...
-
You are right Nicki..that game WAS stolen from us...
but then again..if we had been ahead by 10, it wouldn't have made any difference..
in the long run the ref's calls go even up...of course, that is in the looonnnnggg run!!
-
Boy am I bumming! I started watching my game hoping the Bengals might just pull something out of nowhere and sure enough a freak windstorm hit and our power went out for a day and a half! I missed all of football sunday and then by the time we got power and took care of the mess we had to clean up I missed monday night too!!!! What a sucky weekend. Oh well, Bengals lost anyway so maybe next weekend! WHODEY!!!!
-
LuAnn: Man that stinks. You missed a good week-end. Now onward to this coming Sunday.
Nicki
-
OK! I know its football season - but I have to take a moment and say GO CUBS!
Ya think this could be their year? It was one hundred years ago that we last won a penant!
