anyone taking tykerb

hi jen, i was trying to find out if i could take either a prescription or otc sleep aid if i'm going to take tykerb at bedtime.  750mg is a lower than prescribed dosage for tykerb...is that because of the study?  that is actually what i've been taking.  onc said to take 1250mg daily.  since i reacted so badly to xeloda last week i decided to start the tykerb at a lower dose and work up.  wed, thurs and tonight take 3 pills, sat, mon and tues will go to 4 pills and if i tolerate that i'll move to the 5 pills.  is your study to see if the lower dosing is as effective? are you taking xeloda also? also if you could share...are you having se's with that dose?  did you take herceptin? not many people here seem to be taking tykerb i guess cause i haven't gotten responses to my prior questions.  i really appreciate your response and i hope you're doing well.  hugs, maria
