Seven Years

Today marks seven years since my doctor told me I had cancer. Not only did I have cancer, but I had "the bad one."

I knew no one with cancer and had no idea what was ahead of me. But I had a computer. I made a post on a breast cancer board and suddenly I had all these responses coming back to me. Women I didn't know were taking me by the hand and letting me know that I can make it through all that was about to be asked of me.

I discovered I had sisters all over the world and I could reach out to them when I needed a hand and they would gladly offer one. When I was rediagnosed five years later the love and support I received from all of you held me up and got me through it all yet again.

This is a post of gratitude. For all of you who stay online and reach out to the newly diagnosed, who help veterans through the trials of post diagnosis, who offer friendship unlike any other.

You have been a Godsend to me and I can never find the words to thank you all enough,

Seven years, two cancers and counting.

Thank you. All of you.

Love,
