Navelbine+Herceptin

Hi everybody,

I am new here.Is any body with experinece Navelbine + Herceptin?My Mom is on these two.She had 2 months weekly and in these 2 months 2 times infection And she was hospitalized.Now she is in Hospital almost 10 days for pneumonia. Any advice? I am so worry.

    Yes, there is someone on this board who is having this treatment.  I believe her screen name is swimangel.  You can search for her posts here and on the her2support.org site.   I am so sorry your mom and you are going through this.  I am praying that the treatment for pneumonia works soon and will be home with you again.

    I had Navelbine and herceptin over the summer--no ill effects--but it didn't stop my progression--it  does have an effective rate of 71% per one study I read--

    Make sure she hydrates very well after the navelbine--that will help--pretreat with an antinausea med.

    Gingerale, chamomille tea-mint all help--Best of luck--Amy
