I don't think I'm to far away, so I'll try to get there early also, Judy...........help you grab the grill and some tables!!
Surprises?!?!?!?!

I'm getting excited here!
Kid doesn't want to come, and DH is working, so you get my charming self all alone.

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate !! YAY.
See you in a few hours.

Hi Gals:
So sorry to say but I will not be able to make it after all. Just found out last night that my hubby has to go out of town at about 6:00 tonight - so I will be keeping him company until then. Not nice to abandon him right??
I really was looking forward to seeing everyone again - those I know and those I was going to meet!! Darn . . . Well, maybe we can do it again in a couple of months, right?? We're pretty good at that. In the meantime have barrels of fun - I'll miss you all.

Susie & Maureen - So glad you were able to spend some time with us today. I know it was a long day for you girls. Looks like you may have a BCO cheerleader team for the 3-day. We are so proud of you and your dedication towards the walk. Hugs to you.
Sue - Happy you could join us. Please know we are here for you.
Wendy - Our Martha Stewart of the bunch. Thank you for the adorable name tags and special candle gifts. You are truly an inspiration to our MI group.
Irene - Our talented photographer with the awesome camera. I look forward to seeing your pictures. I almost followed you home did you see me almost take the Flint exit? Whoopsie - like mother like daughter.....teehee
Chris - Great job on being our chef for the day. The brats and wieners were yummo.
Nancy - Our organized member who cares enough to bring a list of names from bco in her purse. The fruit salad was a big hit.
JudyRock - Thank you so much for making the picnic a success and for taking the extra time to find just the right location for us. The signs were a nice touch. We all loved our pink ribbon socks - that was so sweet of you. Thanks for having the patience to guide Lacie into the park. lol
Neesie - Mom's Carmel apple salad is still a classic even if it does have marshmallows. So glad you didn't break anything going down that slide. Thanks for getting Lacie to me. teehee
We missed those that could not attend. Hope to see you soon at the next gathering.
Hugs to all.

It was great to see/meet everyone! Wings pretty much said it all, so...ditto from me! And yes, I did see you almost go to Flint!
I don't have time to post all the photos, but wanted to make sure I got this one done tonight.
-
Okay, I've been messing with it for 20 minutes and can't get it to show up. I'll try again tomorrow. Sorry!
-
I had a wonderful time! Thanks you guys. Look whose organized Wings! Yep, ditto from me also. So nice to meet the newbies and oldies but sorry we missed a few. There is always next time.

Hi ladies...just saying thank you doesn't seem to be enough for all you did ( and I didn't) Thank you for allowing us to join you - even though we were sweaty and tired and did not bring a thing.... Next time - count on me!! I had such a marvelous time. It is a strong reminder as to why we are taking all the steps we do as we train...for you, your friends and loved ones that have taken and will take this challenging journey. Knowing that because of Breast Cancer you all have entered my life...there are some very precious gifts to be thankful for along ...and get togethers to look forward to. Judy, Sue Chris, Irene and Wendy - so nice to meet you!!! NEEsie & Nancy a real pleasure to see you again.... Thank you Wendy for the wonderful candle gift and Judy LOVE the boppers and socks ( I will wear them at the 3-day with pride and think of you)... Neesie - the pic of you on the slide is priceless - what a fun girl you are.

It was such a pleasure to meet you all yesterday (well, maybe 1.1 days ago). And it was totally the perfect day for a picnic. And the perfect spot. It's so nice to eat other people's cooking - not to mention other people's brownies. And the gifts - my daughter has promised not to steal my pink ribbon socks - well, that's not exactly how she said it, but I'm sure that's what she meant. She did eat the Hersey's kisses, though, Wendy, and dinner tonight was salsa and spinach dip on tostitos, Judy.
I especially wanted to thank you all for your kindness. I'm not used to being the one who's off kilter; my job my whole life has been to be the rock and support. I guess having BC has changed my role.
Looking up the route of the 3 day so I can cheer you on, Maureen and Susi.
Take care, and I'll be posting again soon.
-
I too had a great time...many thanks for the wonderful food and gifts (Judy and Wendy). Irene...DH loves the shot glass! It was great to see everyone and the park was a great place to meet. I went to Beatlemania at Meadowbrook that night...boy was I wiped out afterwards.
-
I, also enjoyed Sundays picnic and visiting with all!! It was a perfect day..weather and company.
Thanks to all the organizers for making it happen!
Wendy..hope you didn't get to tired out..and Thanking you for the lovely Candle and the cute nametags you made us!
Judy..Thank you for the cute NB socks! Wore them yesterday and they are nice and cushioned!! Thanks for getting to the Park early and finding us a nice spot and securing tables!
Chris......how was Beatlemania?? Sounded like it was going to be fun! Also, want to thank you for being our 'resident' grillmaster.........Good job!
Hope to see all soon!
Neesie
ps........(Thanks for helping with my little project...going in the mail today!)

Okay, Nancy. How did you get your photo to post? Did you fill in the border information, etc.? I put the IMG link and the size, but it didn't work. Frustrating!
-
Thanks for getting the first picture up, so those of us at a distance can smile too. I'm so glad that you had a gorgous day -- weather and delightful company and support to each other.
Asking for prayers today for my daughter Sarah (mommy of our twinsies -- now 4 months) ..... she just called from the doctor's office and they are sending her to the hospital for tests.
She has some sort of growth/cyst. I'm about 12 hours away, so attempting to rally the prayer train -- as I feel so helpless to do anything else.
Will try to remember to give you an update when we know more.
Thanks friends.
-
Ditto to all the above about the picnic. I thought it was really great. I'll have to try to stick around here more so I don't keep missing them. Sorry we missed a few of you, hope you can join us next time.
Faithandfifty- sending up lots of prayers for Sarah.
-
faith - crossing everything for Sarah. Please keep us posted.
Irene - You can see I had a problem also. All the extra html tags show up and if I delete them, I remove the whole pic. Also, the picture copies twice and I have to edit it to remove one. I never was able to post pics of our last get-together.
I have a nice picture of an empty slide when Neesie was sliding down it. My camera is slow! I'll try to post a few more tonight.

I feel badly for not attending the picnic. I was in a really sad mood and just feeling down. I see from the picture your smiling faces would have probably been the best remedy for me. Please don't count me out in the future.

We all signed it!

Just popping in for a quick wave hi.
I know we need the rain, but I don't like being cooped up in the house this long
I'm back to work and it is NOT fun. They gave me quite a tough job. Wearing my compression bra (truncal lymphedema) and hoping like heck it cools off soon and that I don't start swelling like a baloon. ugh
Ladies currently in treatment, please check in and let us know how you are doing. You are in my thoughts.
Judy
-
Judy - I'm so sorry that you had to go back to a tough physical job. I know that we have to be grateful to have jobs, given our economy, but your note makes me grateful that I do just sit in front of a computer screen.
The abcess hole is down to like .1 of an inch - I can hardly wait to have it healed - saw rad onc, he's a little worried that there is still something in there, so I'm swallowing vitamins and getting lots of sleep. Maybe this isn't working well, as I just got diagnosed with shingles, which indicate that I'm still a little immunosuppressed.
We're getting close to the 3 -day, and I'm getting ready to cheer.
Thinking of our lovely day - thanks everyone for posting the pix.
-
Hi Girls...............Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! And also wondering the dates of the 3 day walk..............don't remember if it is this weekend or next....................I know we have atleast 2 girls walking and some other folks I know......................does anyone know the route or where I can find it out????
