My sister and I and my 9 year old Maggie had a girls day yesterday.  My sister is moving in less than two weeks.  We went to the Mall of America and then to a piercing place.  I've been wanting it pierced.  OH it's a spot on your ear in case you don't know! Wink  I LOVE IT!!! Maggie was soooo cute because her eyes just got huge when she heard what I was doing!  My sister got her rook pierced (another part of your ear).  She already had her tragus done a long while ago.

I'm so glad I got it done.  I'll try to post a pic later if I can get a non blurry one taken!

Now for my belly button - just need to lose those last few pounds!

I so understand! :-D I had my belly button pierced a few years ago and I love it. I remember how empowered I felt when I made the decision and went ahead and did it. My piercing is for private eyes only and very few people know that it exists, but it does the trick of making me feel better.

It's funny how that just sounds so wrong! Laughing  It's almost like when we were all kids on the playground telling another child that his epidermis was showing.

Wow, that's so cool! I have my belly button pierced- never thought I'd say that. A friend of mine had her clitoris pierced. I can hardly stop from cringing when she told me that.

Here's a pic.  And to clarify I had my belly pierced before but I had to take it out for my heart surgery.  I sooooo want it back!

It sure does look painful...but very cute! I'm not sure I'm tough enough to do that myself. And, thank you so much for posting a pic of a "tragus"! Now I can say I learned something today!

It looks cute but very painful! I'm too chicken to pierce anything with cartilage.

I love how enthusiastic you are about it!

Oh, boy.  Amy, I know a woman who has had both nipples, her bellybutton and the unmentionable, too, pierced.  Says it is a big turn on.  I don't think I want to be that turned on, EVER!!!  Laughing

I know a girl that had the nether regions pierced and she said it was like having 24/7 orgasms.  I think that would wear me out just a tad.

Jill...I LOVE IT! I have 7 piercings in my ears, with only one in the cartilge (but not the tragus) and I have my belly button done too. I looked into a clitoral piercing, but I'm too chicken....if yours isn't gigantic (Surprised) there's a danger of severe nerve damage and WOW that would be way too devastating! I've been thinking about a tiny nose ring, but maybe I'll do my tragus in my left ear instead? It looks so hot!

Yikes on the "other" regions!  Not for me ;)

Marin - my sister got her nose pierced last year when I had my belly button redone (and let me state again that I'm still a tad miffed I had to take it out for stupid surgery!).  Her's is really small and cute!  She did say it hurt BUT a short hurt.  I say go for it!!!!!!!!

Ouch on the belly button.  I just had a laproscopic ooph and the thought of anything sharp going near that area again makes me cringe.  No way....no how.  My ears are pierced though.

I just got my 2nd piercing on my ears a few weeks ago.  I was earring shopping and realized they don't sell earrings for people with only one ear piercing anymore.  They had tons of cute sets that were a colored gemstone stud and then a dangling earring with a gemstone in it to match the stud earring.  I figured I had to get with the times and get the 2nd piercing, all the kids thought I'd lost my mind, but I like it!

Looks cute Jill, but I hope it doesn't get infected like my daughter's did! And a friend's daughter almost died from Toxic Shock Syndrome until they noticed a tiny red spot near the piercing in her upper ear  - removing it saved her life. I'm sure you did your research and there's nothing to worry about - but I'm a worry-wart anyway, that's why I'm telling you to be careful of even the slightest fever. Frown

I read about a gal who had her labia pierced and ties ribbons to it and wore no undies---apparently it was a real turn on as she walked.  Her lover also knew what she was wearing (or NOT) and they had a real secret.

Of course, I go along with the Sweet Potato Queens slogan:  Never wear panties to a party!!

I think my dil's sister went overboard, she had piercings put down both sides of her upper body.  These piercings were rings and she threads ribbon through them.  It is called a corset, so I guess you get the look without clothing.  I personally would much rather put on a fancy corset that have piercings like that!

I take it you really like piercings Marin?  Please tell me you don't have your eyebrows pierced?  I like tasteful piercings but some of the ones the kids have in their faces look downright painful!

No, LuAnn, I decided against the eyebrow after my daughter had hers pierced and it drooped too much. She finally ditched it. Besides, after chemo I have almost NO eyebrows left anyway! Cry And the other place I'd NEVER pierce now is my nipples. Since I was able, so far, to keep my breasts, I plan to treat them like absolute gold and not do anything to rock the boat. That might be overkill, but I think you all know what I mean.

Other face piercings? I get a kick out of them, but have no desire for them. For me, a piercing decorates and highlights the area and, so, I prefer to keep them down to my most attractive body parts.....my face not being one of those  Wink!

A friend of my dil does piercings and this guy has piercing all over his face.  I'd hate to know if he has any that can't be seen.  He is a sweet kid though and will take them out and put in a retainer when he visits my home because he knows I don't like them.  I like piercings that are tasteful, I actually never knew what a targus was but I think it looks cute.

I miss my piercings! I've had my nose and tongue done, and my nips done twice, but took them out because of migration.  As soon as I can, I'm getting my nose and tongue done again! It's almost as addicting as tattoos!
