I love her, and she's 82.  I'll definitely watch this year and will be rooting for her.  How many remember her in the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and in The Young Frankenstein?

I loved her as Phyllis on MTM (just bought the first season on DVD). She had her own show (a la "Rhoda" - too; I still remember the theme song!). I bet she'll be great on DWTS...

She'll be fun to watch.  Good golly, 82 years old!  Good for her, hope she shows off a lot!

Susan Lucci will also be dancing and she's not a young chic either.  Think she's close to 60.

I just love her.  She has let herself age naturally and looks beautiful.  I can see her doing this.  My mom is 81 and you can't keep her down!

i never watched the show, but I love to hear about older women pushing the limits of what people think they can do. I've always loved Cloris since MTM. She rocks.

I loved Cloris Leachman as Phyllis!  and in Young Frankenstein.  More recently, she had a recurring role on "Malcolm in the Middle" as the incredibly harsh (and lively) grandma from some mythical Eastern European country... she did some kind of clog dancing in that role, so my money's on her to be a threat in DWTS!

Do you remember the MTM show when Lars was having an affair with Sue Ann Nevin?  That's my favorite show with Phyllis. Her character was so self-centered yet you couldn't help but like her, sort of like a cat, so unconsciously sure of her importance.  I thought Phyllis and Sue Ann were perfect foils to Mary's character.
