Got my mediport in.....
That was this morning.....and I did great with it. They knocked me out cold....lol....I didn't feel a thing.....and what ever they used to numb the area lasted for 6 hours. THAT'S what I needed for the biopsy. If I would have had that to numb my breast.....it wouldn't have hurt at all.
Next step is an MRI of my brain. It's a precautionary thing....because the cancer has spread to my nodes and my brain is the only thing they haven't scanned yet. So that's Thurs.......
Then I go back to the onco on Mon.....and will probably start my chemo on Tues.
I'm a candidate for a clinical trial.....and I was thinking of doing it.....except they have to do another biopsy to send to THEIR lab. Since I had such a horrible time with the last biopsy that terrifies me to think of having another one done.
So I'm kinda up in the air about that right now........
hugs to you all and have a great day!

Good news on the port placement!! There's no way that this biopsy could be as bad as the first one. Perhaps they would knock you out, knowing how the first one went.
Just saw my onco today for the first time. He took an hour and a half with me, after the asst. did BP and interview stuff. Not only was he very thorough, he is really easy on the eyes!! (All the rest of docs are females!) CT scan tomorrow and simulation. Sound like we're finally moving along, doesn't it??
Good luck. with the clinical trial. Go for it!

Glad your appointment went well for you.....and good luck with your CT scan tomorrow. What is a simulation? Some of this stuff is so hard for me to understand........lol

I love "boobless buddy"! I think a simulation is when they get us all measured and set up for the real thing (rads).
