GI system different after all this

Options

I know my senses are super amplified.  Cancer ha made me a paranoid, looking over my shoulder nut case.  Tongue out  I am also on Lupron, Armides and Boniva.

My abdominal region feels different.  Of course, it is thicker (despite dieting and exercise).  Aches and pressure that comes and goes.  Sometimes burning sensations.  Mostly midline or off to the sides (upper abdominal region).  Of course, I have bone aches and pains too.  That seems to move around.  Right now, it is the ribs.  Joy.  Cancer is the gift that keeps on giving!  Does chemo, hormonals, biophosphates do a number on your GI system?  I know they do on your joints and bones!

Thanks ladies for keeping me grounded!

I had a messed up GI tract for a year after chemo, lots of aches and pains in the joints and fatigue.  What your feeling is normal.  I promise but if anything really feels totally out of whack see your onc.

I completed chemo a year ago and the GI tract has not been the same.  First off it made me lactose intolerant--and I love dairy!!!!  Now, I take lactates every day but don't dare drink any kind of milk except the Lactose Free milk.  No yogurt, cheese--nothing otherwise I really suffer!  Really stinks but then again a small price to pay.  Other things that I could eat all the time before chemo don't always work now either.  Chemo also destroyed my thyroid so I now take a medication daily for that!  I guess I now have a new normal-whatever that is going to be!!!

    Good luck!
