Stand up 2 Cancer!
This fundraiser will be broadcast by all 3 major stations on September 5th. It's going to be huge!
First Name: Breast Cancer
Last Name: Dot Org Angels
This is the name of the star we launced in honor of our bc.org angels on this site. The name of our team is "The Cancer Sucks Team."
Please, if you'd like to contribute to the team or star (or both!) go to the website and enter the name of the team. It will get you to the right spot!
We have collected $175.00 so far! Keep going, girls!
Love and prayers, Deb

Deb - I joined the team and donated and have been ROTFLMAO at the SUTV spots called "Lift". They are HILARIOUS!! Especially the ones with Henry Winkler, although I liked them all!! I am going to post this info on my blog and hopefully add to our fundraising!!
-
I am sending the SU2C link to all my family and friends. Henry Winkler as a visual cancer bites...funny but made a point.
It was a little confusing though that there are several "cancer sucks" teams.
-
Hey Yellowrose (how are ya doing, by the way?),
The actual name is "The Cancer Sucks Team" and not just "Cancer Sucks" if that helps. I think we are the only ones like that.
I'm so excited to do this.

Thanks for asking, I feel great! All recovered from the hyst/ooph and got the go ahead to live life "normally".
I was at church yesterday and it suddenly dawned on me that it was August 3rd and I was one year dancing with NED. It was an odd moment, realizing that I'd reached a goal that seemed so out of reach at one time. With each day that passes, I just want to live it to the fullest. I hope that I never take the time I have for granted, ever again. Each day is a precious gift and my family, friends and the sisters here are a big ribbon on the package.
I hope that SU2C event is a spectacular success. I pray that this day is a great one for you! God Bless. ~S

So, there's a place where you can click contact us, and share you story. Just be sure to keep it under 500 words, or it's a pain in the *ss, and you'll have to delete and start over.
I basically wrote about how we at bc.org are standing up to cancer.... I totally think the more the merrier. just scroll all the way down on the STUC page, click contact us, then click share your story, and start typing.

Thanks, yellow!
Our team is more than halfway to our $500 goal. Keep it going, ladies!!! -
Ladies,
I got an email that they are challenging us to raise $2100 in the next 21 days.
I know that seems like a lot, but if you all forward the info and invite friends and family to donate a buck or two, we could totally raise some major funds.
For the rest of you, a dollar or two is great if you want to donate and that is all you can afford! Join us!!!! Please!
Love and prayers, Deb -
Hi,
Thanks for starting this team Deb. I just donated to the team effort, and then created two stars for my parents. My dad passed away from lung cancer and my mom was a long time breast cancer survivor who died last year (but of other causes).
I saw a promotion for Stand Up 2 Cancer at the movie this week - awesome!!

We are sooooooo close. ladies. Please join us, and donate a dollar or two. It doesn't have to be millions of dollars.
Please join! -
Hi ladies,
I was just checking in on Alaska Deb, and it really struck me how she is one of the very reasons we need to donate. For our sisters, for each other. We are here because we have either walked this path, are walking down this path right now, or afraid we are about to walk the cancer road.
Stand up to cancer, please. -
Bump!!

I donated to Stand up for cancer, but it wouldn't let me donate to the star
-
Just a reminder that this is on tonight! I made a donation but apparently you have to go back on Sept 7 to assign it to a group / team. I also downloaded the song at itunes for $1.49. It's pretty good, something we can all relate to.

Ladies, I can't get into our team info because the team challenge has closed, but it's NOT TOO LATE!!!! DONATE to our team and help END THIS DISEASE, so we don't have to watch another person go through what many of us have already experienced!
Thank you ALL. This has been really great. Love and prayers, Deb
-
Deb ... I can't figure out how to donate through the team, because the team challenge site is closed.
Can you help me with this?
Thanks,
Bren
