Today's forcast is a ditto from yesterday. Hot, Hazy, Humid! temps close to 100 don't even want to think about heat index. Although there were some pop-up showers yesterday (5 miles south from my house). Hopefully we will get some of the pop-up showers today

Thanks alot NBN for showing off. It is so hot here that the chickens are laying hard boiled eggs.
-

Hot, Hazy, Humid again in NC. Although the weatherman says cooler temps by the weekend (low 90's as opposed to upper 90's)
I tried to walk at 6:30 this morning and could only do half of my 30 minute walk because it was 72 and humid. I was sweating like your picture Spar at 6:45 am. The route I chose is around 2 blocks (almost a figure 8 about a mile) so if I am too hot after half the 8 I am not far from home.

Hmmmmm, lets see..
When I came to work at 7:00 a.m. this morning it was 68 degrees, bright and sunny.....
Fast foward 2 hrs (9:00 a.m.)-
It is now cloudy, thunder, lightening, sprinkles & 87 degrees, but its not looking like we are going to get any real rain
, it is suppose to get to 93 today so if it doesnt cut loose and rain we are going to have a humidity factor too!
Of course the farmers around here are praying for no rain as most of them still have standing dry land crops that they are in the process of harvesting!

Well, our hotter, drier August has NOT materialized here in Southern Ontario. Rain, rain, rain and below normal temps, warm but not hot. We had record rainfall in July. It rained part of this morning then cleared and was sunny and hot, then around 3:30 the sky got black, the rain started then we had HAIL! IN AUGUST! Where's my hot, hazy, humid summer I was promised. That was my reward for all the snow we had this winter.
-
We, actually got some rain today. Thank you Lord. It feels and smells wonderful!!
-
The last 3 days have been warn, mid 80's, dry, sunny in SE PA. Today was much of the same, but this evening its starting to rain. Good summer weather.
-
That is actually rain on my porch and the duck doesn't seem to like it so she stayed on the porch
-
Sever thunderstorms again today in SW VA / Upper East TN. Really cooled things off though. It's 64 degrees right now. Very comfortable! Hi tomorrow is around 80. Should be a nice weekend ahead.
-
Love the duck! It is soooo cute.
-
Love the duck too (AFLAC!)
Kayree, the showers did not make it to the foothills last night, looked threatening but no rain. I am glad because we were putting 2 new windows in my mom's house and we didn't need it to rain until after we were finshed.
Today's weather, brought to you by AFLAC, cooler than yesterday but still humid, highs in the upper 80's to low 90's 20% chance of showers this afternoon.

Sheila, our ducks name is quacker but everytime my husband sees him chasing the dog he always says AFLAC so really the poor duck has 2 names.
It is cloudy here today and a little cooler high 90's
-
I was just joking about the name like the Aflac commercials. I have a stuffed duck that when you push the button it says 'Aflac, Aflac, AFLAC!!!' I got it from the Aflac rep when they were introducing the plans to my company in 2004. I did take out the cancer plan and all I gotta say is 'I love the Duck - AFLAC!' Without the extra cancer plan last year we would not have been able to keep our bills up when I was out of work 6 weeks.
It is hot today mid 80's nice breaze blowing. forecast says cooler for the weekend and lower humidity.
-
That sounds like a good plan, can you take out a cancer plan when you already have had it? I love the Aflac commercials, they always bring a smile
80's sounds really nice.

One of the ladies tried taking it out on her hubby who was 4 yrs out from melanoma and I think she had to wait another year before she could get it on him. I think you have to be 5 yrs NED before you can take out a new policy. I took it out after my mom's dx in 2001 and before my first abnormal mammo for ADH in 2005, they did not pay on the ADH but do have a wellness benefit where they will pay $75 a year for physicals and screening tests for cancer (mammo, ca135 blood, PSA for men) and such.

Reporting from Melbourne Australia......still COLD but we have had a little rain so DH has been working in the garden. He has just planted a camelia hedge that hopefully will get established before summer. We have hot summers here too.
So I am sitting here, snug with the heating on and a curry in the oven. Really enjoying winter this year.BTW we don't get snow. Our temperature is about 10 degrees Centigrade at the moment..don't know how much that is in Farenheit (sp?)
Love all your photos.

Well the DUCKS are loving Southern Ontario.......BOO! I swear I've been through 3 seasons of clothes in one day! Just don't know how to dress for the weather this summer!!! BOO and double BOO!
-
Yea! we have some sprinkles today in oklahoma
-
We have no signs of rain in NC but the temps are cool and dry for August. Last year around 100 today mid 80's. Though we need the rain.
Sheila
-
Its gotten cooler and less humid here in SE PA. Thunderstorms throughout the day. Seems more like September.
-
Woke up this morning to temps in the 60's and the wonderful sound of gentle showers outside. Unfortunately, Penelope hates going out in the rain so I had to take her out with the umbrella to keep her dry
.

It's finally a beautiful day in Hartford... Baby blue skies, not a cloud in site... temp... I don't know, I'm in doors... probably someplace in the 70s... some trees are turning color already!
(Sorry, at work and have been busy as heck!)
-
So, so hot! The weather channel says ONLY 95 today but I swear it's lying, broken or both!
