Christina Applegate Diagnosed with BC

I just read that. She is a Pittsburgh girl--that is where I am from. Hope she gets good treatment--very talented lady.

I am very sad to hear about Christina Applegate. She is so young. I tried to read a bit more about this, but right now very little information is being released to the press. Other than they found it at an early stage and expect a full recovery.
I feel like I watched her grow up. She was just a kid when Married With Children first started. I watched the show all the time and still watch the reruns.
Its never ending - this breast cancer.

The piece I read said that her cancer is not life-threatening, so DCIS? It doesn't sound like she is receiving chemo.
-
That's what I'm guessing too.
-
I also read that her mother is a breast cancer survivor.
-
She's only 36. This f*cking disease is such a monster. So sick of hearing this crap...
-
I just read about Christina Applegate. I like her new show Samantha Who? I really hope all goes well for her. I hate this damn disease!!
-
The article said it was detected on an MRI -- maybe she had because of her family history? Further evidence it was caught really, really early.
-
I can't believe it. Who's next? I'm glad to hear she's very proactive and caught it early. My onc. told my daughter she has to start checking when she's 30.
BC is an epidemic. I wish I had taken this more serious last year.

I heard this, I can't believe she's 36, I always thought of her as such a kid.
-
I saw this story this morning too. I've always liked her as an actress and she seems like a down to earth person. She's had a rough year - first her boyfriend's suicide and now this... hopefully she won't have to endure too much to get rid of the BC.

I just saw this, too, as I was channel surfing and passed by E! I was 36 when I was diagnosed three years ago, and I'm doing great. I bet she will, too.
Her mother is a BC survivor, as someone noted. Here's an article from USA today in 2003 where she talks about it: http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/spotlighthealth/2003-09-23-applegate_x.htm
