Okay... this is not funny anymore!

Last night, or early this AM, however U want to see it, we woke up w/ a severe thunderstorm... Bf jumped off the bed and did the windows and I just turned to the other side and kept on sleeping... so when I woke up this AM, OMG!!!!!!!!!  It had poured!!!!!!!!!!! (Again).  I missed it all... LOL - Hey sleeping is a serious business for me!

So, off I went to work, the weather looked hazy, but hanging in there... until it was time to leave work, I step down to the street and see everything wet!  UAU... I missed the rain, I laughed to mysef... and...OH NO, not so fast NbN... as the bus arrived at my drop off area... the skies opened on us in such way and fury that by the time I got to my car (a short walk), umbrella or not, even my undies were wet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I wanted to take a picture of myself to show U girls but I was so wet I did not dare to touch something dry!

What about the remainder of the commute home, by car... poodles and poodles of water, I put the 4 wheel drive on b/c I just saw waves of water coming at me... I can't take it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I guess craisydaisy knows what I am talking about... GRRRRRRR

Okay, done w/ venting,... fingers, toes and legs crossed for a better day tomorrow... for all of us.

It has rained off and on all day today.  It's about 72 degrees right now and the low is forecast to be mid 60s.  Tomorrow - well not so great as far as temps go.  We are looking at temps in the low 90s.  A little too warm for me---buy at least we haven't broken 100 yet.

Mary Lou - I am in the Bristol/Abingdon VA area.  Are you familiar with this part of VA?  Are you close by?  I would love to meet for lunch or coffee or something one day soon.

Sheila - I saw that you are from NC.  Are you anywhere close to the VA or TN line?  I travel to Boone/Banner Elk NC frequently.  It is an absolutely beautiful area.  And of course have been to several of the Carolina beaches too.  I love the Carolinas

Foothills of NC (just below Boone/Blowing Rock) storms and showers last night, hot and dry today.

In Charlotte, Extreme Home Makeover going on this week, had to stop several times yesterday for storms but still on track to finish on time. check out WSOCTV.com for updates on the makeover.

It's pouring rain in SW VA!  This is a welcomed, much needed rain for us.  But, we are under a severe thunderstorm warning.  It's definitely headed our way.  Just hope it doesn't get too bad.

It is so dry and hot here that the wind is blowing the dirt off my cable line. There is about 2 feet exposed now and its too darn hot to go try to dig up some more dirt and cover it.

SurprisedSpar be careful.......you don't want to get hurt digging up dirt. You could have a heat stroke out in that heat! Then we would miss you on here!!! Just call you a real nice cable guy tomorrow to come do it for youWink

Philadelphia area mid 80's and pleasant. Low humidity. I'm expecting a cool evening temp in the low 60's. I could take a whole summer like this, but then what would become of the "dog days of summer"?

Cold here in Australia but I'm loving it!!!

We had such a hot dry summer and I thought it would never end.

Still on water restrictions here and we have put in a tank so we can water the garden.

The older I get the less I like summer.

    My bikini days are OVER!

Give me a cold winter, good heating and a glass of wine.............bliss!

Another hot (90's) dry day in the Foothills of NC. No rain in the 5 day forecast either. we are 5-7 inches behind in rain for the year.
