I was wondering how many ladies out there from oklahoma?
-
Hi,
I am from OKC!
-
I am so surprised that there are just 2 of us. We just moved to Pauls Valley from Norman. What a life change!! Hope all is goin well with you. Do you work? I just retired from the state in Feb 07.
-
There is another lady from Norman. I have chatted with her before. There are many of us...just not on the site I guess.
I work for Putnam City Schools. I am the Professional Development Coordinator for the district. Congrats on your retirement. I still have a couple more years.
Is your treatment finished? I finished in April. I just had reconstruction done.
Have a great holiday.

I'm in Ponca City. I know girls from Broken Arrow, Claremore, Norman and Edmond!
Nice to meet you guys.
Happy Holidays

Great to meet you too! Sorry that it is because of BC. This site has been a life saver for me. I get so much information and support.
Let's keep this OK group alive. Maybe more will join us.
Merry Christmas,
Ann

I agree, we'll have to keep this OK group alive. I'll let the other girls know about it.
The snow/ice has started here! They're calling for 7 - 8" for us. Hopefully you'll just get the rain they're predicting.
Be safe and happy holidays

hope all had a good christmas. the snow was beautiful and was glad it was the day after christmas. I am finished with my treatment except for continuing on arimidex. I get the stitches out tomorrow from the last reconstruction surgery. It seems strange to think of finally being finished. Happy New Years.

Hope there are still those from Oklahoma still out there. Would love to hear from you

This Okla. girl is still here and going strong since 2004 and am still NED. Scans coming up again in Sept.
I moved from Norman to Pauls Valley and most of family lives in Davis. Where are you located Manny?

Hello,
I am looking to visit with breast cancer patients who have commercial health insurance coverage and their carrier denied coverage for prophylactic mastectomy. Please reply.
Thank You
-
I live in Newalla. That is a little spot in the road between Midwest City and Shawnee. I have only found one support group around here and they only meet once a month. I am finished with treatment but am having some emotional problems with the aftermath. I have my PET in November. Everything is going well and no evidence of cancer returning. I have a niece who lives in Pauls Valley.
Sorry Hollyirvin i don't know anything about insurance coverage denial. My insurance has been great except for stalling on paying for radiation.
-
I was hoping maybe after school starts that we Okla girls might meet somewhere in the middle. Is Norman close to the middle??? Not sure where everyone is. We could have lunch and talk.
-
How are all the okla girls doing? I have all the scans coming up in Sept but as far as I know have been NED for 3 1/2 years. Hope you all are doing as well.
-
Wow - I forgot all about this thread. Glad I found it. I know it's hot enough for me and I'm sure it is for everyone else. I did find out the OKC Komen Race is Oct. 3rd. I plan on going again this year. It will be my 3rd year.
Spar, congrats on the 3 1/2 years. I just hit 3 years. Norman is about 2 1/2 hours south of me. I don't have anyone in school but do have a very busy month of September at work. Surely, we could find a good time for everyone to meet. Might have to be a Saturday though for those that work.
Stay cool!
-
glad to meet you liz you must be somewhere close to ponca city. I am going to check into the Komen race. Anyday is good for me since I am retired (sorta) I keep my grandkids a lot now. Am trying to stay cool, it seems like everyone is getting rain but us. Have a great weekend.
-
I am in Ponca. Stay inside today...... it's going to be a HOT one!
We'll figure out a time to get together this fall.
-
Sounds good to me.
-
Do we still have any one from Oklahoma? I'm in Tulsa.
-
