Wish I'd listen to my inner voice...

She said 'stay flat, don't do reconstruction'

She was right.  These foobs suck.  I hate them.

Sunny, so sorry to hear that, but know you are not alone.  There are several here who have been where you are, some have had them removed, to their great relief.  Hopefully one of them will be along soon to offer advice.

hello sweetie, let me tell you my experience, I was diagnosed while preparing for my 2nd marriage to this wonderful guy I met and then I found the lump in shower, I have always worked in the medical field, first as a O R tech, for fifteen yrs, then as a nurse,s aide in Peds at a city clinic, so I knew when I felt that lump it was cancer. I was diagnosed and had 3 months of chemo before L mast(I wanted just the lumpectomy but decided on mast,Fiancee agreed to get the mast, giving more time(at that time mast was advised)I had adriamycin, cytoxin, and 5 F U, then 3 months of chemo after, we got married, then I received the rads(7wks, 5 days a wk), I decided to get the reconstruction at same time of Mast, expander was put in, I went for 1 filling, and during the Christmas holiday , my husband had to rush me to E R, I had unbearable pain in my chest where expander was, it was removed, more surgery right? and I decided to just wear a prothesis, as I do now. I wanted didnt want to go into a new marriage with one breast. But in hind sight I wish that I chose to wear the prothesis from the start. God Bless. msphil( I am now a 20 yr Survivor(Praise GOD).  (idc,stage2, 0/3 nodes, L mast, chemo and rads and 5 yrs on tamoxifen)

    hi sunny,

I was in your shoes and had implants removed. Check out my topic YAY IMPLANTS REMOVED. If you have any questions after reading my topic, let me know. I am so happy now- flat and happy. You can reverse it. It's only a 2  hour surgery. Not bad. Nothing like implants, expanders all that. Is that what you went through? I hope I am reading your concern correctly.

    Best,
