TNC newly dx, primary tumor 8 cm, node involvement suspected

Hi, I was wondering if there was anyone else in my mom's shoes with an 8 cm tumor?  They initally thought that it was 1.7 cm IDC, but when we went to Moffitt Cancer Center, they said it was DCIS.  Then the MRI that they just ran said there were several tumors, and the size of the primary had changed drastically.  When they were doing this additional imagining, they said her nodes in her armpit looked suspicous.  

Now I am not a dr, but the sheer size of this thing has me scared to my core.  Paired with the lymph nodes looking like they are involved, it really makes me uneasy.  Her armpit is visibly swollen and tender.  Could they just be inflammed?

No doctor here either but...my bs felt under my arms before my LX and didn't feel any inflamed lymph nodes...with your mom's size of tumors..there is probably a good chance that there are some lymph nodes involved..but maybe not...the surgery will reveal this one way or another...and it is scary but there are several women on here that have had cancerous nodes and they are still here....don't freak out yet...easy to say..I know...

Thanks, I am trying NOT to let my mind get carried away.  I am trying to take it one step at a time along with momma.  I try not to let her see my worry.  I put a brave face on for her because I want her to fight the good fight!  She has been completely overwhelmed, so it is nice to finally have some answers.
