Recurrent Medullary breast cancer??

I was recently diagnosed with recurrent medullary bc. I had a 3cm tumor in my breast 4yrs ago, sential node biopsy was negative, so I had lumpectomy, chemo & radiation. I recently started having pain under my arm(same side) and was diagnosed with a 4cm tumor, medullary involving multiple lymph nodes(triple negative again). Test have proved no other tumors(visible at this time), not even in the breast, only the lymph nodes. I started chemo immediately with plans for bilateral mastectomy/reconstruction following.

My concern is "why do I have a re occurance of this type when nothing I read speaks of medullary this way?"

I'm looking for anyone who has had a similar situation or any knowledge of this type of bc??

Medullary is of particular interest to me because I did not qualify under one definition, but had medullary features.  Did you have true medullary bc or medullary features?  It is difficult to diagnose and very rare, but favorable.
