Ki67
Hi All,
I was reading articles that say Ki67 (proliferation factor) is high for us TNs. It also states that higher values are not good for prognosis.....explains why TN is considered more aggressive etc.
If you know your Ki67, can you post it? Mine was 60%.

Mine was 70%. I am not triple negative, just ER/PR -, Her2+.
-
Ren:
My Ki67 was "high" and S-phase was "low", didn't say the percentage. I am TN and 10 years survivor.
-
Dandelion,
A big fat cyber hug and kiss to you for telling me you are a 10yr TN survivor.

My Ki67 was scored as>30% but not further defined.
Agood frien of mine is an 8 year TN survivor.

Mine is 80 and I'm in neo-adj. chemo now. Bilateral mast in January. I'm just hoping the Ki67 isn't that relevant. I know my 3.7 lump has shrunk considerably in chemo. Hoping for the best!

Thanks Ren, I have post my story in this forum, "10 years, the encouragement!" Hope it can help you.
-
what is Ki? Is it a turmor marker? If is, I think my is 27.
-
My was REALLY high-96% but I am alive and kicking for a year and a half now!
-
My lump in right breast was 60% (dx 1996), lump in left breast was 70% (dx 1999). Biopsy sample on lung mets (dx 2006) was 95%!!!
Newalex, Ki67 is a proliferation rate, it's on your pathology report. If you have a proliferation rate of 50% that means 50% of the cancer cells were in the middle of cell division when they were looking at the tumor sample under microscope. The higher the percentage the faster growing the tumor.
-
My Ki-67 was 90%
-
Had to pull out my pathology report and look it up. Mine was 68%. Pretty much all trip neg tumors have a high proliferation rate. That's one of the reasons they are cosidered agressive.
Next month I'll be 21/2 years NED.

Mine was 40%. Also wanted to add my sister was TN stage III, 15 years ago, and is doing well.
-
Not triple neg, but saw this thread... very high ki67 from luminal b - both DCIS and IDC were 75 and 78%. Suspect this is one of the reasons that luminal b tends to have a prognosis similar to triple neg. - aggressive and fast-moving as opposed to the typical HR+/Her2- luminal a cancers that have the most favorable prognoses.

80% and terrified
-
Mine was 61% and I am 7 1/2 years out. A higher Ki67 goes hand and hand with triple neg.
