YEAH -HAPPY -HAPPY FOR YOU AND MOM ELAINE.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO - Tequila for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I have one dessert ready...............
-
So glad to hear about your Mom, Elaine!!! YEAH!!!
Pie looks good!
-
OMG Elaine!!!!!!!!!! I actually let out a breath. Saw your name and "Mom" and held my breath, but you started your post right. It IS wonderful news! The power of prayer.....
Cathi, I am assuming that IS your pie....is it not? If not do one! It is hilarious!!!!!
-
Elaine - that's wonderful news about your mom - I'm so happy for you both.
Jule - I hope you can get David to the ER - sooner rather than later. Does he know what sort of spider it was that bit him? Anyway, probably doesn't matter - it sounds more like an infection than a poison reaction. Looking back over the years, all the accidents and medical dramas happened at weekends - especially long ones. Good luck & please let us know how he is.
Sheila - your back issues when you were young sound like pure torture - you poor thing! Yet you turned the whole experience into something positive - the needlework, reading etc.
Cathi - I have to admit I had a bit of a (sympathetic) giggle when I read about your shower - and then the stove incident. Heck - it's probably the bimbo's negative energy impacting on you before she even arrives! She is sure to come out with some clangers again this visit. People like that don't seem to be able to self-censor what comes out of their mouths and seem to be oblivious of the hurt/embarrassment/annoyance they have caused.
Karen - enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend. I hate sharing computers! I'll look forward to hearing from you when the kids are back at school.
Happy long weekend to all who are having one and I hope everyone else has some good times too.
xxxx

Hear hear Barbe!
-
A brown recluse spider bite is VERY dangerous....I'm worried.
I'm glad you showed him pictures Jule, they're horrid aren't they?
Geebung, I'm like you...I can't wait to hear what "clangers" come out of her pie hole this weekend! hhehehehehe
Now Cathi, when she does the stupid....just think how much fun you'll have posting it all!
-
Barbe, when do you leave for your dd's wedding?
-
TOMORROW!!!!!!!! ahem, tomorrow. Sorry for the excitement level...it's our first holiday in over 5 years!
-
That IS exciting Barbe! Wow - and in such a beautiful, exotic place - who wouldn't be excited? (Especially if it's been a while since you had a holiday). Can't wait to hear all about it and see pics - lots of them!
-
I'm hoping to be able to log on down there if it's not too pricey. I cannot, simply cannot go a week without knowing what y'all are up to! Don't know if I'll be able to post pics, but will try!
-
Well, think I might try to get a bit of shut-eye. I'm staying with my sons (just for one night) and I'm not used to the warm nights here on the coast. I had a nightmare due to being too hot and only slept about 4 hours.
-
Barbe, I was in Canada at the end of 07 visiting my niece (Toronto) and I logged on every day - was good to be in a similar time spot to most of you for a while!
-
Barbe you must be ready to Pee your pants with excitement - I can't wait to see the pictures either. The pie is not mine it belongs to Google - and my right brain won't let my left brain make it either - STUPID RIGHT BRAIN - keeps telling me to be the bigger person -LOL
Barbe travel safe -have a AWESOME TIME!!!!!!! Have a tequila for me!!! xoxoxoxoxoxo It will sure seem strange not to read your posts if you can't get on - we will miss you for sure. But ENJOY!!!
-
OH MY GOSH! You ladies absolutely crack me up!!!!!lololololo!!!! Barbe , THANK YOU sooooo much. My whole body is a muffin top! But you are so right , the best part of a muffin is the top! I love that. I think I will have it put on a shirt. Bon Voiage! Have a safe and fun trip. Congrats to your daughter. Yes , we need lots of pics please.
Cathi , You are a natural born comedian! You are to funny. I'm so sorry about your morning. I'm glad you are not really hurt. I can just picture it all unfolding. And on top of all of this , the bimbo is coming over. Wow , Tell Ed to stop on his way home and stock up on more tequila! And how bad are we!?! We're all sitting here , getting the popcorn ready , to here the next chapter of "Whats the bimbo gonna say next"? I have a feeling she may be somewhat "reserved" this time. But if not , I have a feeling Cathi + tequila = bitch gonna be hurtin'!!!!! I hope not , I hope you all have a great time. Hey , how about a pic of Ed and his brother? Even the bimbo , so we can put a face to the name.lol And oh that little Margo! If you ever get tired of her , send her to Aunt Melly! She is soooo adorable. And she is getting so big! Does she have a special outfit for Memorial Day? I bet she misses Alexcis when she leaves. Hope your weekend rocks!
-
Elaine , I'm so happy for your mom's results. I'm sure you were both so worried. God is good. God Bless you both.
Sheila , oh my , what a journey for you to go through at eleven. That must have been so dibilitating. Thats such a long time to be in a body cast. And everything that went along with it. Your parents sound so wonderful. They truly love their little girl. Good luck with the fifteen pounds. You can do it! You certainly have encouraged this "muffin top" to do something about it too. Hey you know what Sheila , I need to lose alot more than fifteen lbs. , but I do better with smaller goals , you know , alittle at a time. I think I will shoot for fifteen too. When is your reunion? That can be my date too! Good luck!
Jane , I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. I hope they can keep the pain under control. I'm glad your sister is home. Have you talk to her lately? I will keep you all in my prayers.
Jule , hi honey , so good to see you here. David knows you love him , and he loves you. Thats all that counts. So you take him to dinner , and then to the ER. End of story. Don't let him talk you out of it. He really does need to go. Holiday or no holiday. You tell him "its the law" and he has to go! Let us know how it goes.
-
Hi Honey! Great to see you!
Barb, have a great trip!! BE sure to send pictures!!! I am SOOOOOO jealous!! Enjoy!

OK ladies and UB. I was reading back about going to the dark place. Thinking about death and all. I hate to say it , but I think anyone who has a diagnosis of bootface , and "survives" , will always be waiting for the other shoe to fall. Especially when its time for tests ,no , especially when you start having "pains" and we start playing the what if game. I think most of us have been through chemo. Or we are taking some kind of "anti-bootface drugs" , and especially the chemo , really has done a number on our bones. So I don't think we will ever stop thinking it has come back or spread. Because with what we have had , it can come back. Or not. Stick ours heads in the sand? Yes , I think we all do that to a certain extent. Usually until the pain is so bothersome , we just say hell with it and go to the doc. Thats why BCO is sooooo important to us. And I thank God for them. We do know exactly what each other is feeling and going through and we are here for each other no matter what. I would never condemn someone for the way they react , or choose to respond to their situation. Only we know what is best for us and our situations. But I do pray that we all can find some peace with this. I thank God for each beautiful day I wake up to. And I pray that he will be with me if the day should not end so beautifully. I don't blame God for my "journey" with bootface. I believe God gave Adam and Eve a beautiful world all those years ago. And I think God gives us beautiful gifts. He doesn't take them back. He doesn't say ," well this is not what I expected you to do with this gift , so now I will take it back and see if I can fix it". His gift is always given with "free will". So all these years later , well , enviromentally , speaking , we know things could be alot better. And so on with genetics and every aspect of life. It evolves the way we let it. I pray that God will bless someone with the gift of finding the cure. Then we will be able to do so much and understand so much.
OK , I feel now I am rambling. I hope I haven't offended anyone. I just was trying to explain my belief and how I feel about my journey. I hope you are all having a good moment , and staying away from the dark place. Love to you all. Oh , and I loved the poems , they were beautiful and heartfelt. xxxx Mel

Hi Makraz! Good to see you too! I bet you are having a full weekend with the kids. Any soccer games this weekend? How about a bar-b que? Hope you are having a great start to the weekend. I am having a few sreebs! No pain now!lol I am feeling low though. After eight yrs. in a house with a beautiful backyard , holidays like this were spent outside , planting flowers around the tree my son bought me , swimming , drinking , cooking out , watching all the rabbits , groundhogs , racoons , and mowing my lawn , which I love to do , I am now in a tiny apartment , no yard at all. I am trying to not stay in my depression. But it is so hard. I HATE IT HERE! But I must think about the furture. This won't be forever. I have to do this to be in a better place later. I just miss my house sooooooo much. OK , I feel better now.... Wheres my reeb....
-
Oh, honey, I feel for you. I wish you could come over and mow my lawn! I love to mow the lawn too. Seriously, I love what you said above. It's true for all of us. We are lucky we have each other. I know I am thankful everyday when I communicate with someone on these threads. You guys get it!
Do you have a local park that you could go to and go for a nice walk this weekend?? You need to get outside and enjoy mother nature. I wish I could pick you up and bring you here!! We could have some reebs out by my pool.
The kids don't have soccer this weekend. My DH and I took the Harley out today and had a blast. We are thinking of taking our boat out this weekend to Cape Cod, but it may rain each day. I think we ay be better off staying here. We'll see.
I hope you are feeling better. Sending some hugs your way. Been thinking about you too We miss you!
-
Oh Mel you could never offend anyone - you are just way to SWEET -KIND AND CUTE -
I love the Bitch Gonna Be Hurtin
Ok so here is a pic in order
Ed, Tom (Ed's friend sense they were 5 or six) another Tom (Ed' sis husband from PA absolute sweetheart) and BIL Jim.
-
-
Aw , Makraz , Thanks , I would love to mow lawn with you. That would be so much fun. We could try to make designs in the grass!lol Your DH probably wouldn't be to happy , but we would have a blast! Wow , the harley ride sounds awesome. And yes , well , watch the weather , but a boat ride would be soooo cool! I love boats. I love the water. Yes , there are parks , rivers and of course beautiful lake Erie to go visit. I just hate doing everything by myself. But I will go visit my girlfriend. She has a nice house with a little yard. Just being with her will lift my spirits. Hey , I have a new goal. I will weather this year , and I won't like it , but it will be for the best. And then me and my good friend Lisa , will come and visit you! I can't wait. Lisa , where are you? You and I are gonna fly up and see Makraz. This will be our long term goal. Next summer. We will do this. So , even if you find mr. right , you have to put aside time for this fabulous meeting! You can make some drinks and talk to DH while Makraz and I tear up some lawn!
Oh Cathi , thank you sweetie for the complements and pics! Ed is a cuteie! And I'm kinda diggin' Tom(friends since five or six)! Maybe Lisa and I will "pick up" Makraz and come see you!
-
I love mowing the lawn too! Huh, go figure...{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ honeygirl }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I spent years in apartments and condos and know what you miss...putting your toes into your own grass!
Nice day for a bike ride Linda, I miss my bike
and still think you should get your own. Not necessarily a Harley
, but I had a Vulcan, look that baby up!
Cathi, the bimbo doesn't even deserve comment, so I won't even mention that she looks like trailer trash. Be careful that she's not the one attracting any tornadoes or hurricanes! Great line-up of good looking men...all to yourself? You lucky girl, you!
-
Hey Barbe - hope I'm not too late - BON VOYAGE!! Have a great time!
Oh Mel, I have never been remotely offended by anything you wrote - just uplifted and amused. You ROCK! I love your idea of carving designs into the lawn when you mow - like the crop circles in the UK - I love them! I hope you have fun with your girlfriend. I do a lot alone too as I have only lived here a few months and haven't made any close friends yet so I sort of know how you feel. As far as not having grass and your own garden - that must be hard and I really hope that you can wiggle your toes in your own grass soon. I like the sound of you and Lisa visiting Linda next summer - that would be great! We all need things to look forward to.
-
Linda - if there's one thing I want to do before I die, it's to ride a HARLEY! I love them - love their throbbing sound and all that gleaming chrome and black leather. Yes, yes, yes! I'd really love to do a road trip with other riders - I know there are many groups around the world who do charity rides for breast cancer. That would be a blast!
I also love being out in a boat. I used to go sailing with my cousins on the lake where I used to live. They had a catarmaran. Nothing beats the feeling of zooming along with the sails full of wind and feeling the sea spray!
Cathi - thanks for posting those pics! Mmm now we have a face for the Bimbo - what fun! I hope she behaves herself this time and you all have a great time.
I'm just about to buy a ticket to fly and see my sister. She has been through a lot lately and we need to be together for a while. I will also be able to spend some time with my mum.
xxx to everyone
-
hmm, in my head I pictured her much younger.
-
Elaine she will be 51 in June - she always says we should "celebrate together" her B'day is a few weeks before mine - YUCK!!!!!!!!!!
Oh I sure wish this rain would stop we get a few minutes of sunshine, the air heats up and down pours again, the East Coast actually has some real bad flooding. There will be 30 people here Sunday with Children, more than enough room if we were able to be outside all day - that won't happen, oh well, we have all tile floors and an outside shower, everyone will still go back and forth to the beach all day. TEQUILA - LOTS OF TEQUILA
-
Barb, I'm glad you did not tell Cathi that the bimbo looked like trailor trash. You crack me up!!!!
Sometimes we will mow a baseball diamond or a volleyball court into our lawn. The kids love it! My lawn mower is large and took some time for me to learn how to use but I love mowing lawn.
That's the baby I use. It has a 52 inche mowing deck. Pretty cool.
Geebung- Here is a pic of our Harley. I love it! Peoplet hink we are crazy, bu tit really is fun!! You have to do it sometime!
Cathi, hope the rain stops for your party. Have fun!!
Hugs to all!
