I can't get my act together and I don't know why

Someone told me that since the bathroom always needs to be cleaned, it doesn't count as 'cleaning'. At least, I hope not, because I HATE cleaning the bathroom, and I don't do it as often as I should... but it STILL needs to be done, on a semi-regular basis.... otherwise, no one could stand to use the bathroom!
I wish I could have a cleaning service.
Good Luck with your tx #4...you are over halfway done!!! I'll be thinking of you on Thursday!
Harley

Merry Maids! Wowzers! What's that like? Someone cleaning your home?
I'm green~Harley, I'm with you, it has to be done and we're it to get it done, so....it can't count!

-
Well, I actually got my act together a little today. I arranged a meeting with our translation coordinator to review some new documentation, and worked with our outside consultant to getting to a final go on our production templates. He also had some suggestions about ways I can change some work processes.
Ahhh... the real me spent a couple of hours at the office. It's really been months!
And then I got discharged from physical therapy! I tore the miniscus in my good knee in the middle of rads (everybody's got to have a talent, right?) and we extended the treatment to add some work on my back - knees, hips and backs work together, and mine were'nt doing a real good job. So, I'm going to be working with a personal trainer for a few months, so that I can't escape from this process of getting healthy.
Uh, oh, fireworks just boomed, and the dog crawled into the shower stall.
-
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!
I'm shaking and wishing dh were home dang it! The neighbor kid was beating his girlfriend (mind you he's like 36 and she 37). He's been to prison for beating his past girlfriend time and again and dang it! His father and smom just turned off the lights and went to freaking bed!
WAS I WRONG to call the police? They showed up just minutes after she peeled out which really ticks me off! Of course, they didn't arrest him and I SWEAR, if they find out I called all heck will break lose! We've lived next to them for 25 years, so I'm positive the old man doesn't beat his wife, so why would they put with this? SH"*T< SH*T< SH*T! I hate men or women who use their hands to talk with!
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
You did the right thing!
When I was a kid and my parents would fight, I got tired of it and called the police. Of course, my Dad, the excop, talked everyone into leaving. Fortunately they talked to me to make sure I was ok. The cops comming stopped the fighting for a little while.
And no, I don't understand why women stay, but so many feel they have no other options and some are made to believe they acutually deserve it.
Please, be proud of yourself for calling the cops. Even if the gal took off, or comes back, you know you did the right thing!
-
She works at the jail, I think. Either in probation or some such thing. Probably how she met him?
The kid and I made a typo, he's 36 or so, and she's 27 with 2 masters mind you! NUTTY, she has to be! They aren't married, and she lives in her grandparents old house. They're gone. He stays there unless she's working, then comes to his dads sometimes. Has been fighting with her, so staying there more often
Man, I just know those cops mentioned a neighbor called and I'm the only one who would be able to hear them I'm sure!
Oh EGAD! Always something.....I seem to find trouble! -
Aw, Wish, what a sweet story about your mom taking care of you during chemo. But you taking care of her right after surgery, well, that was not good at all. I had to take care of my sick baby dog. I slept in the recliner downstairs. While everyone else slept through the night I was up and down with her. But it's not like having a sick mom.
A prayer is going up for your aunt. I have not been on all day, so I know it's late. Let us know how things go. I lost an aunt a few years ago who I was very close to. I miss talking to her.
Miss S., I get the recipe for you. DD told me what was in it. It's VERY easy to make. And I know about those "toots" that spontaneously comes out from time to time. It surprises me! And embarrasses me too!
Harley, if your dh had to mess with these incompetent idiots he'd get SO mad too!
Sue, it's a good thing you have Merry Maids coming to clean or you'd be booted. LOL However, geez, you work and are doing chemo and doing laundry and walking and feeding the dogs. Sweetie, you NEED someone to help you. Have a great visit with your company. My dd and her dh are coming over for dinner tomorrow night AGAIN. LOL I need to clean a little. But I won't ell anyone. I bought some Maui Maui already prepared from Sam's. We're having that and a salad and something else. It will be one of those easy dinners. Just hope it's good!
Well, off to bed I go.
Nitey nite.

I didn't realize there was another page until I posted.
Good for you, Sue, that you're getting your act together. That's wonderful! And, you are still working on staying healthy. That's what I call MOTIVATED! I'm really trying to get motivated to start eating differently. I need to lose weight. I also need to get motivated to walk on the treadmill.
Wish, you definitely did the right thing. One of my dd's worked for the domestic violence shelter. Ya know, when a woman leaves that's the time it's the unsafest. She needs to have a plan. Maybe the cops didn't tell them that a neighbor called.
Dotti, I know about parents fighting. My mom and dad did...mostly verbal...and throwing a few things. But it was horrible! I never thought about calling the cops. Hmmm...that would have been pretty funny. My mom would have probably choked me!
This time I'm going to bed. Wish, turn out the lights and go to bed!
Shirley
-
Wish......ahhh, you did the right thing. I would not be able to just turn a blind eye to that either...makes my hair stand on end! Prayers for your Dear Aunt.
I played hookie from work today! LOL, sure was nice! Left the vaccuming to DH so I could play in the garden. All this darn rain, the weeds are having a heyday out there!
Sue, enjoy your company and CLEAN house.........I guess if we can't getting someone else to is the way to go!Send them here when their done over there.
Shirley, what are your favorite quick meals? Seems like I've lost interest in making meals these days, I need quick and easies.
Harley, maybe Sue can send you those Molly Maids!
CandoSue........hope all that excersise works, hey, you'll soon be buff.
Goodnight all..........3 more days till TGIF and then I'm off on vacation....yay!
-
CDaisy, use a crockpot! I swear it's the best when like me, the dh comes in at odd hours, or not at all. Plus, it's not a stand over the hot stove or oven during the heat of the day. I do my best in the mornings, so it's a good time to start the main stuff and then let it brew all day
Must have been a witch in my last life!
Sorry for those who's parents fought, or argued horribly. I knew some growing up, but of course, nothing was ever 'talked' about and like you say, the women sometimes felt they had no choice but to stay and put up with it. Today that is simply no longer true and there are many programs to help, and many more to get involved in that help. I'll get off that subject now and hope to heck when I saw the neighbor pointing this way while I hid in the dark house, that he wasn't acknowledging it was me who called! Oh my!
Ladies, I've been bitten alive outside the last 2 days! Hate skitters!
And the ANTS are horrible outside this year What's up with that? No kids to spill popsicles, or juice and food, so why are they taking over my patio area? I wish they made the old TERRO with the good ingredients like they used to! The new stuff is good4nuffin!
Have a great day and enjoy your visitors those with them!
Oh, and my aunt has done a little better. They've gone from saying that they may remove the ventilator and let her pass, to removing it in a couple days to see how she does breathing on her own! SO.....the expectations have changed and this is good! Thanks for the wishes and /or prayers!

-
Wish,
That is very GOOD news about your aunt!! Prayer works miracles!!
Shirley,
Enjoy your visit with your dd! Mahi Mahi sounds good... we had that last night!! Are you copying off me?? lol You know, I have to be on this sucky, low fat low cholesterol diet. The food just doesn't seem to have much flavor.
I am going over a friends house later, to clip her new cat's claws. She has a formerly de clawed cat, and just got another cat about 1 1/2 months ago, but this cat has claws, and she just doesn't know how to deal with them! I have two cats and they BOTH have claws, so I am more used to handling them, and clipping their claws, when necessary.
still not cleaning... the bathroom is better, but now I noticed that we need new bathroom rugs... what else?
Hope everyone has a great day today.
Harley
-
What fun, clipping cat claws! UGH! I have one with and one without, both about 11-13 years old. Don't clip them, but could use it, so come on down when you are done at your df's house, please?

Feels like fall this morning

-
Viv, I really don't like cooking anymore. I've even gotten so bad that I buy stuff prepared from Sam's. Some things are good. Some not so good. But the fish I bought has stuff already on it. Won't take long to cook. And we're having a salad and something else to go with it. Easy, easy, easy. My dd and her dh are trying to eat healthy. So, Mom is also trying to feed them healthy stuff. I love fish, but really don't know how to cook it. I need to learn..yeah, right! I have got to, got to, got to lose weight. and it's not easy when you have a husband around to feed (good excuse). I suppose he'll survive. He's learned to like brussel sprouts with Balsamic Vinegar on them.
Wish, the crockpit is wonderful! I love stuff cooked in there. Seems there so much flavor. Hmmm....I need to use it.
Harley, I don't know how to cut my cats claws. They'd probably scatch me. However, their angels at the vet's office.
I need to get my act together, get off of here, and do some cleaning. I have kids coming in for the fourth. I like to start way ahead of time because I'm so slow and tire so easily. The tiring part is probably from lack of exercise. The slow part is from LAZINESS!
Okay, need to get it together.
Shirley -
Wish, I'm sorry. I forgot to say I'm sooooo happy that your aunt is doing better. I know that's a relief. Let us know how she does after getting off the ventilator.
Also, I'm happy you didn't have a MAD neighbor over to see you last night. I just hate it when men are bullies. They are such cowards!
Shirley
-
He wasn't just a bully, but abusive and although I like the guy, I hate this part of him and he knows it! He's just scum and I need to mention it to him IF they ever bring it up. I hope they DON'T know it was me, but.....on the other hand, it burns my arse that he was let go without checking on her first. Of course IF she does work with felons/probation dept, it's likely they'll not do anything b/c of comraderie of the dept
That's even worse! And thanks! They took her off the ventilator to see how she does just a bit ago. She also may have heart damage from all this??? they say. Not sure, as it's hard to be 2 hours away and not know what's really happening. Mom is not medical and just doesn't understand stuff. In fact, I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm taking HRT instead of HT's! UGH! I tried to explain, but then she sends me an article on HRT and breast cancer! UGH!!!!!!!!!!! I've never taken HRT, only the estroven for maybe 6 months a few years ago. Funny lady!

-
Hi all,
time for my next "chemo vacation" as my coworkers refer to it... ah, joy!
I WILL NOT CLEAN.
Wish, glad your aunt is doing better. And you did the right thing about the neighbor. Shirley, does your dh grill? Cause that is how I cook fish!!! Harley, I put something called "Soft Paws" on my not declawed formerly feral cat who plays really rough...they are like lttle plastic fake claws that go over her real claws after they are clipped and you glue them on--they last about a month. When she walks on the hardwood floor, it sound like she's wearing little tiny heels....you can google soft paws and see...
Love,
Sue
-
Gees, a little time away from the boards and everything changes. I hate getting used to new stuff. Do you guys like the new look?
I have one major confession to make regarding my time away. I cleaned one of my bathrooms. The weird part was it didn't make me feel any better, so obviously I'll never do that again.
Missed you all! I have a LOT of catching up to do.
-
SUE~ DO NOT CLEAN~ Hey, aren't you teh one with the merrymaids ladies? WHy would you have to lady?
Enjoy your break. My dd tried those soft paws. Now she just file his (the grandkitty) nails after clipping. He loves it!
G~ You should check in more often and we won't fall so far into pieces while you're away. Confession here too. Came in from the gardens last night late, and was full of grime and bug repellent. Walked into the bathroom after stripping down and realized I wasn't going to get very clean in that h*llhole, so I TOO CLEANED! HAD too! But that's it! Nothing else!
ANd yes, as filthy as I was, I DID FEEL good about it all! Especially the shower! YUCKY~Catch up and come in more often~ Hope work is going well for everyone and it's not too muggy like here! Thank the Heavens for A/C!
-
gsg,
I was watching c-span, or what IS that channel, that shows the activity in the Senate?, and looking for you yesterday. It was very quiet and eerie, and I didn't see anyone who looked like your pic, so I switched the channel!BTW, someone told me that cleaning the bathroom doesnt' count as cleaning, because we HAVE to clean it occasionally, or it gets so filthy, you can't stand to use it!!
I missed you too!! I'm trying to find a new job, but they either want someone FT or else they need weekends, or something else... I guess I'm just too picky. I think that I am just not together enough yet to work, and I think any job would just be too stressful for me these days.
Harley
-
Yes, they most likely wouldn't like that we carry body burying tools in our cars to work huh? Not good for the managers stress levels anyway!
I know, sic*, but what can I say, it's heatstroke most likely! Those weeds grow faster than anything else!
-
wishiwere,
Would you PLEASE come here and help me to pull these weeds!!! I don't tell anyone that I have a shovel, and a whole gang of lop-sided, bald women, some of who are hopped up on steroids, to help me, if they ever get out of line with me! But, it IS good to know!

-
Ladies my mother was treated for breast cancer 2 years ago, she is very angry doesnt want to do anything. We dont know how to help her. We try everything. I feel that she is going through a depression, but she says no. She has been to doctors these past 3 weeks, she tells us that she hurts all over she has no energy lots of migranes. Talked to her this morning told me that when she tries to grab things she cant grip things wash dishes anything at all. Can anyone help me out there please..
-
Yes, I told shirley (I think it was her) I'd be there as soon as I get a card with $ for gas or a ticket in the mail?
No problems sweetie!
And yes. IT is a good ACE in the pocket to withhold from those who are 'p*ssing us off huh?'

-
Amy,
Sorry but I don't know what to say about your Mom... how old is she? If she can't grip things, she may have a mini stroke, but I really don't know for sure. My Mom had these TIA's, which were "mini strokes", and she couldn't grasp the phone.
wishiwere,
Ok... as soon as I can get some money together, I'll send you a ticket, or some $... and just so you know, I live near Shirley, so you could do BOTH of our weeds in the SAME DAY!! She is about an hours drive from my house. After, we could all go out for dinner and drinks...
Yes, I think just knowing how powerful our little group of women are helps alot... what an intimidating group of women we would make!! lol
Harley
-
Amyt, is your mom on one of the AIs...Arimidex, Aromasin or Femara? If not, is she on Tamoxifen. That can cause joint pain. Also, did she have chemo? One of my chemos was Taxol. I have mild peripheral neuropathy. Also, I believe Taxotere can cause it. Some people have it badly enough that it's painful. It's in the hands and feet. Also, if it's bad enough one drops things easily. Energy? What's that. If she had chemo it can cause fatigue even after treatment. And the treatments with the drugs I mentioned above..Arimidex, etc., can also cause fatigue. The drugs plus going through the stress of being diagnosed with breast cancer is enough to make one depressed.
Please come back and tell us more what treatment/s your mom as gone through.
We feel her pain.
Shirley

I did some minimal cleaning yesterday. Now I need to do som real cleaning. My kids from Charlotte will be here Wednesday night. And, of course the grandkids.

Wish, is your aunt still doing okay? I know she's so glad to get that ventilator out of her throat.
Yes, Harley can send you money for you to come and help. After all, it's Harley who's trying to find a job.
And, she'll take us out to dinner at a nice seafood restaurant! Ain't that right, Harley?
Patrice, it's so nice to see you again. I tried to find you on CSPAN, but couldn't.
Cleaning bathrooms NEVER make me feel better. I'm a raging mad person when I clean. I get angry because I DON'T wanna, and my dh....well..let's say, is sitting on his arse. Then, of course he offers to help..like vaccum upstairs. I get my butt on my shoulders and tell him I don't need him to clean. I hate to ask him to do anything. Then we start fighting.
Well, not physically. I wouldn't want Wish to call the cops because I'd probably be the one arrested because of Isabella's shovel/s. I'd probably knock him over the head with it. I know, I should complain. He emptied the dishwasher last night. And, after he was done he looked pooped. And, he's stubborn and won't wear the battery that makes his neuro-stimulator work...it's supposed to help the pain. I'm thinking...LOOK, MAN, YOU NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER...I CAN'T TAKE CARE OF YOU AND ME! Geez!
Okay, so back to the subject of getting acts together...I have to clean. Don't get me out. I promise it won't be a really good cleaning. I need to take every curtain down off every window and chunk them. They are full of dust and outdated like my house! I think I'm back to griping instead of getting my act together.
I need to go. I think we're having leftovers.
Shirley
-
Hey Shirley,
Hey, that isn't fair! I don't have a job, that is why I can't afford to buy anything! I just applied to work at CVS pharmacy, but the last time I applied for a job on line, they told me that I failed their 'personality' test, and I think that I may have failed this one, too!! They ask silly questions, like DO you tell people OFF if they bug you? The real answer would be... yes, but you are supposed to say NO, I think. Maybe this is why I fail... I am not sure what the correct answers are supposed to be.
Why doesn't your dh help out more around the house?? I think we have the same dh, cause we fight alot, too! lol
Harley
-
HA! Harley? Why isn't her dh helping more around the house? Do dh's do that? I mean, really, without begging or bleeding on your death bed, do they help? HA!
I ran a childcare with 12 kids here, from 4:45am -6pm 5-6 days a week for 14 years. After about a year of it, I got tired of dh (who worked 6am-3pm, 5 days a week) asking what and when dinner was!?? I finally had it out one night with him and said, look dh (and it wasn't dear either), I'm still working at 5pm when you want to eat, right? You've been out since 3pm, so how about YOU fix the night meal and I'll eat when I get done with work! The kids were NEVER gone by 6, never! He did that ONE thing and did it poorly, but at least I had some reprieve. At least till I walked into the kitchen and realized what a mess I now had to clean up! Whole 'nother 'discussion'!

Well.....I added another 1/2 mile on the bike ride tonight Whoohooo! That means an extra piece of chocolate, right?

But....No cleaning, I promise!

And yes, Harley, I do believe the correct answer is NO, I do not tell people OFF when they bug me!
I mean, if you did, wouldn't those danged docs and nurses have gotten off their butts and done your paperwork on time? Geepers lady! You passed, I'm sure!
-
Hi Ladies,
Wish, Hope that your Aunt is doing better. You did ABSOLUTELY the right thing by calling the police about the domestic fight.
G, Glad that you are back and hope that all is well.
My week is crappy!! Worked 3 days so far and ready to pack it in. Off for 1 and then back for 6 days in a row. I will be very tired at the end of this stretch. Talking to one of my girlfriends today who was Dx with BC last spring. The Dr's did a colonoscopy on her because her Father had bowel cancer X2. They found a tumour beside her appendix, very rare type. Now she is going for all the scans and trying to not panic. She is absolutely the nicest person!!! Have know her for 25 years. I just feel like poop!!! OMG, when it rains, it pours!! Hope everyone is feeling better and please no cleaning. My cleaning ladies came today. At least my house is kind of clean.
Take Care All,
Kerry
-
Thanks, Kerry, just came in from talking with the neighbor guy. Nothing was mentioned about the cops, but....he did talk about the kid and say he got a job today. HA! Sure. Been out of prison for a year, paid schooling b/c he was in prison, and NOW he gets a job? 1/3 of the way through summer? SUre...we'll see how long that last!
Dang man! HA! NUTTY, sad for human excuse of people! UGH!BUT....you know? It's not fair that 2 of you have cleaning people coming in!
Dern it! I want a cleaning person too! Guess dh would require I get a job first huh?
Poop is right!Sorry aout your gf
Man, that's sad....it just seems like it never ends. the news of someone new with cancer
Dang skitters are ready to carry me off! Man, I hate when they bite your numb areas and you itch, but can't figure out where to scratch? Does anyone else have that problem?
